Im not a fan of him at all. I hope Im wrong, but I bet this movie fails hard. Like harder than the first Hulk movie hard.
The only super hero movie that I can see ending up worse than this one is Thor.
I just cant picture a "good" Thor movie..... Every time I think about it, it reminds me of "Adventures of Babysitting".

looks like a mixed bag. Some of the CGI looks great, while some looks pretty bad. The script and pacing are going to decide this one. But as a fan of the comic, if its just average that's good enough for me.

Yeah I don't know. If its well written it could be pretty good but the general cheesiness of his costume already makes me wonder. I just hate those damn masks.

People have been saying the comic book fad will die off for years. Pretty sure that as long as films ike Iron Man and the Dark Knight blow up you're not going to see it die off.
I like it, though. Not all Comic Book movies are good but they do make for some great ones.

I disagree that it is over-saturation.
It's just that 90% of them suck. They try to make the quick buck instead of paying the original material the respect. The hollywood idiots don't understand that if they did it right the first time (focus on the actual character/story instead of stuffing "insert big name actor" into spandex), they could stretch them out and have actual long-term success.
I like the comic book movies. Especially when you see how well they can be done. Usually even the bad ones are somewhat entertaining.
This one just is such a "meh" character imo.
I'm excited. I definitely approve of Mark Strong as Sinestro, especially after seeing him in Sherlock and Kick-Ass.
Always wanted to see a big screen adaptation of GL. Except for some of the cg, it looks better than I would have expected. Martin Campbell(Goldeneye, Casino Royale, Edge of Darkness, Mask of Zorro) is one of the more consistent action directors out there so I'm optimistic about this one. Writing is going to be key here as all the top notch superhero films were based on strong source material. This one looks like it's based on Emerald Dawn which was pretty good as far as Hal Jordan stories go.
New footage from Wonder-Con. This is starting to go from forgettable to possibly badass.
