    Ladies and Gents,

    I know this is not technically the right forum to post this in, but this is where I post the most and I'd like to share it with you all. I deployed to Afghanistan late last November and have been fairly scarce on this board the last 12 months. Many of you have been very supportive and this board has helped me keep track of the Spurs.

    Well, I flew back home to Italy today as the 173rd ABN has been redeploying back to our base in Vicenza, Italy. So, despite a year in the world's asshole, I'm back safe and sound.

    I just wanted to thank all of you here at the board for the support and distractions you've provided (oh so many veterans and especially fellow AMEDD vets here on the board).

    Glad you're back DW. We lost a friend over there about 6 weeks ago. Terrible loss. A heartfelt thank you for everything you're doing over there.

    In all seriousness glad that another vet is safe after a tour of combat. I imagine Italy's going to be almost like a vacation compared to that.
