lolomg
Mono's post got me thinking... what are the tiers of coaching in the NFL? Feel free to disparage any of my choices... http://espn.go.com/nfl/coaches/_/id/null
Best of the Best
Belichick
Reid
Tomlin
Pretty damn solid
Coughlin
Norv
Fisher
Payton
Better than average
Shanahan
Del Rio (Jaguars)
John Fox (Panthers)
Peyton Manning... I mean, Jim Caldwell (Colts)
Lovie Smith (Bears)
Whisenhunt (Cardinals)
Just average
Gary Kubiak (Texans)
Marvin Lewis (Bengals)
Tomlin is an average coach with a good team. Pittsburgh lost a bunch of games to inferior opposition last season and that is not a sign of good coaching. Not hating- I'll sing Cowher's praises all day.
why is reid up there? haahhahahaah
Del Rio is a very good coach. Better than Tomlin. Kubiak is terrible. One step above Wade Phillips and Chan Gailey.
manning should be up higher, its true he only coaches one side of the game.
Fisher is a terrible coach, no way is he even in the same ballpark as Sean Payton.
