even though most teams in the west are in different division, they play each other at least 3-4 times each, so it would balance out if the Lakers were in the South west division. they'd practically have the same schedule.

And really, if the Lakers are the kick ass road team they've been, especially during the playoffs, the past two years, it doesn't matter where they're seeded or what division they're in.

Many a year has a big effect on seeding. The recent wussified East years making the playoffs with 4 teams at .500 made a lot of difference.

Dar resident. Ever heard of a thing called deodorant? The constant smell in your nose is caused by the bacterial growth and bacterial breakdown in your armpits. Using this great invention can either overlay the skunk-like smell you're constantly complaining about or actually reduce sweat. True story!

Danny Granger complained about it in Turkey but wow, I didn't know there are actually people in LA who haven't discovered this magnificent invention yet. I would recommend you one but you know it already - I always smell awesome.

On behalf of GNB I'd be very welcome to send you a free sample along with a colleague who can show you some of the other magnificent inventions of the past centuries like the misterious booth where it rains from above, a futuristic cube you can put your skunk-infested clothes in just to get it out smelling like a fresh summer breeze and last but not least a small but very effective device made of human grease to clean your foul body of all the bacteria.

Start using those brand new, world-changing inventions and you'll become as awesome as me someday.

    well... actually you won't.

Divisions do play a role in seeding and winning (majority of games you play compiled up are against division foes).

The Lakers are in a cream puff division.

No way in the reality of physics that shot counts with .4 seconds left.

I am not a homer spurs fan, but that ain't physically (and timely) legit.

Although I do have to admit, nice fluke horse shot by Fisher.

However, I will repeat again, it shouldn't have counted.

The Suns will most likely have a +.500 record by the end of the season. This is a dumb topic, though, especially since the Suns and Lakers, two Pacific Division teams, were in the WCF last year.

Tbh that just adds to the OP's point of it being a patsy division since I see the Suns barely edging out +.500. That point about Suns being in the WCF last year would be relevant if they still had the same core and were winning but thats not the case and they just made another huge trade as well. Going to be interesting to see if Vince Carter's health will keep up, imo Jrich >>> Carter on the Suns.

In any case the Boston C's in the Atlantic Division and overall weak East have had it easier than the Lakers so meh.
