Smelly belly button

Can your belly button get a fungus kinda like athletes foot?? It was itching at one time but doesn't anymore. Now it just stinks and looks reddish inside. Yes, I shower everyday before u ask but it's still stinky. Anyone else ever had this or something similar?

Do you actually wash INSIDE your belly button? Taking a shower just doesn't cut it. Get a washcloth, lather up and wash inside that somm .

I don't have a belly button so I don't worry about such things But I've noticed some folks have really deeeeep ones and no doubt they are a cozy hideout for some sneaky organisms.

adjust the position of your belt button imho. it might be some allergy caused by metal or overpressure imho, just give it more freedom and fresh air and it will be ok soon.

Reminds me of that crazy Ren and Stimpy episode where Ren keeps telling Stimpy to stop digging into his Belly Button because he will get sucked into it.

So Stimpy being Stimpy waits til Ren is asleep and starts realy really digging into his Belly button and actually turns himself inside out into his belly button. He goes to belly button world and all that's left of him in the real world is a little button. Ren is like I warned you idiot. Stimpy meets up with Jerry the belly button elf voiced by Gilbert Godfried.

Actually I think the OP was on the right track with the althlete's foot comparison; important to keep it washed, but probably just as important to keep it nice and dry too. Maybe a sprinkle of Gold Bond powder after a good wash and dry?
