This couldn't go in one of the other 1,000 threads where people are continuously bashing the guy?
The guy is literally worthless if his shot is off. He is a player that runs on a confidence thread. If his confidence is down (which is usually the case), the guy falters and looks like the scrub he is suppose to be. When he's on fire, the Spurs are scary good.
Why can't this guy just be a consistent player even when he's off.
If he had the decency to play better defense, maybe my opinion on him would change.
But I have to say, Pop looks like one stupid ass idiot for leaving him out there while he bricks shot after shot.
, c'mon bonner man up and play some ing power forward style-defense.
This couldn't go in one of the other 1,000 threads where people are continuously bashing the guy?
Sorry, but I just had to lash my opinion, even if it's been lashed by other posters.
No .
"Sorry, I just had to start another Bonner thread because of lashing."
What's your opinion on Bonner?
The official whipping boy now that Michael Finley is gone.
same as everyone else.
bonner is getting better guys hes 1-4 today in 16 minutes
unlike 30 minutes, 0-6 lol
though pop didnt coach much in the second half, but still
some reason to feel optimistic
hope i didnt make any "factual errors" in this one chhmp dumper its 1-4 right? wont you double check for me![]()
I take it back, I think Bonner gets more hate than Finley.
Meh, its close.
One doesn't have to double check to see your butt is hurting right now.
lol e-grudge.
Pop coached the whole 3rd and Bonner didn't see the floor 1 minute that quarter tbh.
Thankfully, I might add. Don't get me wrong. I don't personally hate Matt. But playing him against that Love/Darko frontline is putting him on a position to fail (much like guarding Griffin). I'm glad Pop didn't push the issue in the 2nd half (after the Spurs lost the lead in the 1st immediately after he walked in). I'm also glad coach Bud didn't push his luck and had him out to close the game.
yet another...
cool story bro
i see how you got 50000+

Definitely agree. The lineup that got them back in the game was that Tony/Hill/Manu three guard lineup that no team seems to be able to match up with.
RJ definitely looks more comfortable at the "small ball 4" position than he did last season as well although I don't always feel comfortable going to that lineup. Those 5 players (add Duncan) are our best players though, so let them win the game for you, I guess.
Same lineup that brought us back against NO a week ago. That's our best defensive lineup right now.
Me too, but I can't do about it.
thankfully maybe hes seeing what bonnger is all about
against minesota tonight, after 13 minutes and 0-3 in the first half from ginger, he might have recalled last game's
0-6 in 30 minutes lol
Did Matty take a on you recently? Wash it off. Let it go.
tbh, his poor last two games are somewhat surprising.
Games against crappy teams like the Wolves and the Clippers are where Matt normally shoots lights out and shines. The kind of performances that make Pop think he can do the same against good teams/playoffs.
I am a long time spurs fan. Very thankful for everything Timmy, Pop and Holt has given us to be an elite franchise cause i know i will never see it again in san antonio in my life time. So i dont question much. But damn I hate Matt Bonner. At my drinking spot everybody calls him Boner. He seems like a very nice guy off the court but damn he just doesnt belong. He has had more than his share of opportunities to prove he is a clutch role player during crunch time like the ones who came before him; see Ellie, Kersey, jaren, purdue, rose, nazi, claxton etc etc etc but damn he just cant do it. I honestly do not know why Pop keeps him around. If he was to leave tommorrow i dont think that would be soon enough.
