Anonymous poll, dont be an e- . Pick the option which view you drive in. Its Anonymous, we wont make fun of you.

Im asking because it seems NONE of my friends can drive in first-person view. They have to be little girls and play arcade style and no matter how hard I whoop their asses ALL THE TIME I cant convince them to switch views.

I was just curious if this is a trend.

I ALWAYS play Driver view. Driving games without that view are useless IMHO.

For GT5 it's 70% third person, 30% pit. Previous GT games it was the same, but first-person instead of pit.

After playing every GT game religiously, I don't see a significant difference in my driving performance with any view.

Do you drive your car 5 feet behind and above your rear bumper?

Whats the point of driving from behind the car?

I want to drive these cars and experience what it would be like to do so in real life and not have all the negative effects of running into a wall at 200+mph. Cant get that from an unrealistic prespective.

I prefer arcade-style view because I can see the corners of the car better, which makes for better drifting and cornering, as well as maneuvering around other vehicles.

I agree that it's not as close to the real-life experience, but in real life you can turn your head and check your blind spots, as well as develop an innate sense of the four corners of your car that you don't get with a video game.

Yeah, thats one limitation that does irk me... They should have done it like NFS Shift where the drivers head turns towards the direction your turning...

I havnt tried it yet, and definately wont waste the money on it, but apparently GT5 supports the eye camera for the PS3 which tracks your head movement and does allow you to look around in the game..... just have to buy the camera though and apparently its pretty laggy and doesnt track well..
