...Spurs win their home games, they win the le. You can analyze and over-analyze matchups, along with every other "concern", but it all boils down to winning a max of 6 home games or less to win the bling. You think the team with one of the best home records in quite a while is capable of that? There is not a team left in the playoffs that is not capable of winning this thing, but the Spurs sure do seem focused right about now.

The 2-3-2 Finals format makes it imperative that they win games 1 and 2. You do not want to only have one shot at playing at home. The first road team actually has HCA in a 5 game series....and that is ed up, IMO.
I think the point is that neither team really has HCA. As you say, if everyone wins their home game, then the road team is up 3-2.
But at that level, HCA really doesn't matter, IMO. The better team will win.
Of course, in a seven game series, the Home team does have the first 2 and last 2 at home. So, that's an advantage, as Game 1's and Game 7's are usually the games where home court seems to matter most (someone have any stats to back my opinion up?)

The Spurs will probably not win every home game. You're asking for perfection against the very best the NBA has to offer... that's a ridiculously huge request. You can't extrapolate 38-3 out to matchups against championship contenders.

You can extrapolate the matchup to show that Detroit is 0-9 in SA since they drafted Duncan, and they haven't won in San Antonio since 96-97. They didn't win there last year or this year either.

I'm not sure what to think about that. Why would you be so negative? I don't see anything in the way the Spurs have played so far to merit such a viewpoint, and I don't remember you saying this during the regular season.
Did Detroit recenty convert you? Don't try to sound like you listened to TimVP and think they are "build to beat SA" or something analytical like that, because I just don't buy it.
I predict Detroit in 6 as well. No way San Antonio beats the champs.
