that sucks
Former Spur player and assistant coach and current Sacramento assistant Mario Elie was arrested early Thursday morning in downtown Sacramento on su ion of drunken driving.
The Sacramento Bee reports that Elie, 47, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 1:15 a.m. Thursday at Capitol Mall and 15th Street.
Elie was then booked into Sacramento County Jail and has since been released later this morning.

ah come on, Mario. Just glad you didn't hurt anybody.
Who the gets a DUI in sacramento??
The U in DUI doesn't stand for underage, dummy.
Tha ? That's an MIP.
Definitely sucks, Mario should know better, but seriously, if I had the kinda money and EXCESS free time these former players do, I'm pretty sure I'd get in restless, too...not to mention have to be an assistant coach for the Kings. Jeeeesus.
Holy crap.
Mario Elie is 47?
What is the legal limit in the USA?
They just changed the laws here in Italy and the limit is ridiculously low now. Especially for drivers that have been driving for less than 3 years (18-21 year olds) where the limit is even lower than everyone else. Basically one beer does it.
Does it vary from state-to-state? In Texas, atleast, it's .08.
Racial profiling . . .
and ageism.

Never said that. "Driving Under the Influence" (or DUIs) are handed out to minors that have been drinking, but aren't over the limit. You can also get one if you are influenced by drugs (i.e. pot). This thread said he was taken in on su ion of "drunken driving".
That to me was more surprising lol
But yeah, I'd probably be drinking more often as well if I was an assistant coach for the Kings.![]()
yup. different than DWI (driving whiloe intoxicated)
A DUI is driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Driving while intoxicated (DWI) is driving drunk, or over the legal limit.
what should the punishment be for PWI? (posting while intoxicated)
There's a limit for a reason. If you are driving under the limit, you are obeying the law, and won't get in trouble....simple as that.
It's always been a horribly gray area that cops take advantage of anyway, so it.
I wouldn't think you know much about that area
You are just making up now.
...?
Nobody seems to, thus, the "grey."
Mario sure loves his "drank"....![]()
if posting drunk is a crime, call me jeffrey dahmer
