It's really great to see Blair and Hill stepping up. Tonight we had 6 players in double figures, nobody had less than 12, and nobody had more than 18. Best part? Duncan played 27 minutes

IMO, 27 minutes is still too much for TD and Manu.

This is the 19th straight win in which they've had at least four players in double figures.

What would be a good amount in your opinion?

Meh.....Timmy should have had 14 IMO but got his "blowed-up" by Smitty. Hated to see that since Timmy ran faster than he has in about 3 years on that play.

    Great overall effort though .

27 minutes is fine for either player. They aren't elderly.

I thought the scoring was spread evenly, for whatever reason, but there were moments in the game when a couple of guys tried to play 1 on 5 basketball and the ball did not move much. They finally figured it out in the 4th with some energizing from Hill who seems to be the Spark this team needs (normally Manu off the bench, but he's starting these days).

However, the Hawks played Imodium by stopping the runs pretty well. Some of that was just sloppy Spurs play but most was solid defense by the Hawks. It's not like we were playing against the Clippers... (heh).

Yep, and with that 4" vertical Timmy displayed, it's a wonder Smith got to it. Josh Smith is an animal though. Looks like he might have pulled a hamstring there late.

I like how their is no #1 scoring option on this team. 3 or 4 guys play well at the same time which takes the load off each of them. Sure some times a player would take over, but he also gets help from the others.

It's a nightmare for the other team. There's the old option of shutting down the star and making the others beat you. SA can beat you from any direction including the bench (especially the bench). There's no shutting that down by double teaming unless the opponent gets 10 guys on the floor at once.

Balanced scoring attack providing plenty of Spurs weapons
    Tim Griffin

...“Having a balanced scoring situation makes it easier for everybody and makes it tougher for an opponent to key on,” Popovich said. “To have as many people scoring as we have has helped keep (The Big Three) from shouldering the load every night. Hopefully we can continue that to some degree.”

..."We’ve never had it this balanced,” Popovich said. “We’ve got guys coming off the bench contributing consistently and not just once in awhile. It’s something we’ve started to count on. I’m sure there will be nights when it won’t be there, just like every team. But for the most part we’ve been able to be pretty balanced.”

Fail. They have to stay in game shape, and be ready for heavier minutes, post ASG.

Do you think 15-20 minutes is maximum for them? Manu and Tim are all-stars. They've still got to contribute numbers during the game which includes playing a fair number of minutes.

27 minutes is spot on I think, especially when 1 in every 5 games of late they have an 18 minute night out.
If we can cut there minutes to 18 in least 1 game of a back to back that would be very helpful also.
There are many tough games remaining in Dec I expect there minutes in increase for those games.
