Bill SImmons had SA going 50-32 two weeks ago.. So according to him it's 30-29 the rest of the way.

I think at least above 10, the Spurs have pretty much been the first to every win number.

We are also now officially on pace to go 74 and 8, or 75-7. Pretty crazy.

If the spurs will continue to play like this, they surely can achieve 60 wins

And that is still crazy considering the expectations mixed up with West

Oh, I couldn't care less about the regular season.

However, it WOULD be amazing to be sitting on 60 wins with 10-15 games left in the season and a guaranteed top #2 seed out West. Not saying it's going to happen, but my reasoning is that we could give Manu and Tim a lot of rest heading into the post-season, so they can play 35+ a night.

This year's West playoffs is going to be a war. Look at the teams heading in. The Spurs, Utah, LA, Dallas, OKC (who will probably not be nearly as easy of an out as people are thinking), and even the Nuggets, who play pretty rough playoff ball.

It would be great to get that #1 or #2 seed and not only rest our starters but play someone like New Orleans, Portland, or Phoenix in the first round.

I still think the Rockets could make it in, though. Portland is fading.

I wish the Clippers would stop losing as many games as the Spurs are winning. It's so embarrassing. How did we lose that game?

It's the NBA, dude. Even the worst team in NBA history could literally destroy any basketball team you've ever played on, assuming you haven't been pro or nationally ranked D-1 college ball teams.

Even the "worst" talent in the NBA, those guys are still world class, dominant athletes. They still have the ability to play world championship ball, if only for a game or 2-3 quarters.

And I would never, ever call the Clippers out for having a lack of talent. They are one of the most talented teams in the NBA right now, but they're all under 28, and they don't have enough cohesion. You'll see them slay a lot of giants in the next few years.

I would LOVE this. Also a second round match up of LA vs Dallas would be nice.

One other thing that beating Portland did -- it ensured that the 2010-11 Spurs will, at worst, tie for the best 25 game start in club history. In 2001-02 and 2004-05, the Spurs started 20-5 over their first 25; now, that is the worst record the Spurs could have after 25 games.

For anyone who might be interested, the Spurs best 25 games starts ever are:

    20-5 -- 2001-02 (finished 58-24; lost WCSF)
    20-5 -- 2004-05 (finished 59-23; NBA Champion)
    19-6 -- 2006-07 (finished 58-24; NBA Champion)
    19-6 -- 1989-90 (finished 56-26; lost WCSF)
    19-6 -- 1990-91 (finished 55-27; lost WCFR)
    19-6 -- 2005-06 (finished 63-19; lost WCSF)

a second round match up of LA vs Dallas would be nice.
It would be fascinating to see how Mavericks fans deal with a playoff series against the Lakers. Somehow, in becoming and remaining a Western Conference perennial during a period of time that has seen the Lakers reach the Finals 6 times, the Mavericks have not met LA in a playoff series in the Cuban era.

That's actually kind of remarkable to me.

Given the distress that the 2006 Finals brought, the mind boggles about how North Texas will respond to dealing with NBA referees in a series against LA.

I wasnt clear enough. Does it really matter if we have 60, 65, or 70 wins?

As long as we have #1 seed in the west.

I'm excited as the rest of the Spurs fans on here about how the Spurs are playing right now. Posting a 20-3 record with Timmy averaging under 30 minutes a game is amazing and a testament to the depth of this team.

I think it's best to take the season week by week. I'm predicting that after this week, the Spurs will be 22-4. The game in Denver on the end of a back-to-back is an absolute trap. I think the Spurs will beat Milwaukee, but it might be a scrappy defensive-minded game; after all, the Bucks ARE coached by Scott Skiles. Hopefully Timmy can stay under 30 min Wednesday.

I think Memphis will be a W too, but the Grizz are one of those teams that are better than their record shows, they managed to get a W in Dallas.
