95% of All Pro bball moves are a for next year. Splitter will be huge when mcdyess retires and Splitter gets his minutes. Repeat?

Yeah, it's looking like Splitter's minutes might not really go up much, unless he really starts to shine in limited minutes, which is obviously difficult.

Theres no way he gets the Ian treatment past this season. Pop breaks you down and builds you up, he's a military man. Splitter is way too talented, and he is far more proven from his Euro accomplishments at this point than Ian ever was. Ian was a raw project big, where Splitter is alot more polished, although still needing more time to adjust to his new surroundings. Let's not forget RJ's first year. He will get his chance.

If the rumors during the offseason were right, then the big 3 went to Pop (Manu in particular) and said they wanted to get out to a quick start and win games early.

That means Pop abandoning some of the things he traditionally does, such as playing with the starting lineup, resting the three stars (although we're good enough to still get them rest in many games), and treating the early season as basically a throw-away.

I think Pop has honored this request, and done a good job emphasizing the importance of the early season. Part of that process though is that when your team gets hot, you don't just change things up on account of the future. You ride it out and win as many as you can.

I think that's the deal with Splitter. We're winning early, just like the team wanted. Ride this out. While we're this hot, get those wins. Don't change up th chemistry just for the sake of it. It's a LONG year... If we keep up a 20-3 pace throughout the season, Splitter won't make a difference anyway. But we won't. So instead, keep riding the streak, and switch things up when the situation calls for it, other than just to experiment.

At some point we will need Splitter in the playoffs when we go up against the better teams with size (Lakers, maybe the Mavericks and Celtics). He won't play as well (or at all) if he doesn't get minutes now to integrate as much as possible into the system and to get in sync with the other players.
