City Data, as much as I love it, is full of stereotypical suburbanites who won't travel inside 1604 if they weren't about to die and the only doctor they could find was inside 1604 on Potranco.

So, no I don't agree with that first map. Where's the data to back it up? It looks like someone just was like "yep...that's where you should live." The second one is interesting.

There is no chance in 78239 (NE side) should be dark blue on there... it's houses The Glen afterall... and it's not like it's magically gotten better in the past year or two.

A co-worker of mine had to go to the Glen on business and was afraid to go alone so I offered to go with HIM. That neighborhood is horrendous, there are more stray dogs than people there now, smh.

Neither provides the data used to make the maps, however. I could make two maps in 5 minutes showing the northside covered in red but that doesn't mean anything unless I tell you how I came up with that conclusion.

I'll tell you right off the bat that only using 4 categories for such a large data range like that second map I can't imagine getting a passing grade on an assignment on any of my GIS courses.

Kens should really have used smaller land divisions such as census tracts. I don't think the city puts crime data online that is geocoded but if so it would be pretty easy to make a better map than what KENS did.
