Shanahan picking up where he left off in Denver by throwing vet QBs under the bus. I say Favre retires for good and McNabb ends up in Minnesota. Tarvaris Jackson isn't going to do for them and with McNabb at least they know they'll get more than one quality season out of it.

Minnesota should have went after McNabb before this season.

    San Francisco.

Doesn't matter. McNabb isn't all that great anymore. He doesn't seem to have alot of motivation to be great. He's replacement level.

Probably in Washington, I recall him signing a 5 year extension not too long ago.

If he's in Washington next season then I'm going for tryouts.

He signed the extension, but it really put Washington in position to cut him this summer with very minimal consequence. I believe McNabb will see $3 mil when he's let go.

As I said when the season began, he isn't even a top 20 QB anymore..no longer an impact player IMO..

You don't think Minnesota would take on that contract in a trade? Wash could even buy him out, there was an article saying that contract was loaded with out clauses that the Skins could buy him out for as little as $4 million. That's probably why they're benching him now.

It's definitely plausible Minnesota would take his contract, probably for a late round draft pick. I wasn't aware of the out clauses, so he could go anywhere really. At this point in his career, he would be a decent backup QB for most teams. With the recent trend for Minnesota, he would probably start though.

The Redskins' offense is horrible, the 26th ranked running game, a rookie WR from the Insane football league, the worst offensive line in the NFL ( Top 5 at least), a guy that just came off of using HGH which turns mediocre players into stars (Moss), and recently Joey Galloway who last had a good season like 4 years ago LOL. Guess who had the most dropped passes in '09? The Redskins receivers, they've dropped around 30 well thrown balls this season already, and no I'm not counting over thrown/under thrown balls, these were all perfectly thrown but the receiver failed to hold onto it.

Plug in ANY QB into that Redskins team and they wouldn't be able to do .

McNabb has declined a lot, but there is only so much he can do with the talent around him. I think he'll do pretty well with a team like the Vikes/Cards/49ers.

Is it possible Grossman is better? Is it possible Shanahan did the right thing by benching McNabb to see?

    Crazy .

I kind of agree with the ape on this one. Grossman possibly could be better than McNabb at this point in both careers, especially with the way he looked today it's definitely not a stretch.

I would think Arizona would be the most likely.

Did you watch the game? The Cowboys Defense was HORRIBLE. Just about any QB would've put up like 40 points on them today. They practically gave the game away to the Redskins, they were killing themselves with penalties, every time they were going to get a stop there was a penalty or some mental error by their D.

    Example:

First time the Skins scored: I think Grossman was sacked for like a 5 yard loss or some , it was going to be 3rd down and like 16, but there was penalty which gave the Skins a first down and good field position.

The C-Boys defense made Grossman look good, Grossman made a couple of good throws but no he isn't good at all.

Grossman is a piece of who had a nice game vs a bad D. The Cowboys D has been awful as of late. Garrard and Vince Young had big games as well and both are meh as well.

No unfortunately I was at my old stomping grounds, UCLA, rehabbing my foot, but I did get to Tivo it and re-watch the game.

I'm not saying Grossman is as good as the Cowboys defense made him look by any means. However, he did make some nice throws when there was some tight coverage. Very un-Grossmanlike. Also, McNabb has not looked very good at all these past couple of weeks.

While Grossman did have some Grossman-like plays (the first interception, the missed TD to the wide open Moss) he made some very accurate throws in tight coverage that McNabb never seemed to make at any point in his career. I think Shanahan and MannyisApe have a point in the fact that Grossman might actually be better than McNabb at this point in his career.
