I would trade Artest for Ariza right about now. I would say they are both equal defensively, however Ariza is much better offensively.

Artest has never had much of an offensive game. No handles, shaky jumper, can barely finish around the rim. He's also a poor rebounder for his size. His only saving grace is his defense. Laker fans had to know what they were getting when that signing went down. They got a great preview during the 2009 playoffs when Artest shot his team out of the postseason.
And nobody could play as bad as Keith Bogans this year. He's worthless on both ends. Giving him a wide open shot is almost like a turnover. Thibs has finally started giving him limited minutes and increasing Ronnie Brewer's time on the floor.

he pretty much cant shoot but still focuses on defense, and is tough on the block, most games i see him boxing out everyone for a rebound. i even remember when he had a no jump layup.
Ron-Ron just needs to get traded to another team that runs traditional motion offense or high-low post offense like Miami.

Matt Barnes, Shannon Brown, age, and another season of Phil Jackson is what happened to Artest (I don't think he and Phil are a good combo for 2 or more seasons).
