I wouldn't be complaining if I were "stuck" in NYC. Change your diaper and get over it, son. Oh, and check out Hagi right off Times Square. It's a Japanese Sake bar. It's Bourdain's favorite late night spot. Those Japs sure know how to cut loose.![]()
First day was cool. Second day was bad ass with the snow flurries.... then hit the fan sunday night and now the whole city is at a stand still. It took me from 10 am all the way til 2pm just to travel about 8 subway stops worth of distance yesterday... i would have walked in any other cir stance, but the wind chill was in the low single digits and wind gusts were from 20-40 mph. Today I'm just staying in until i get official word that the transit system is running with minimal delays.
La Guardia was closed for almost a day and my flight from NY on New Years might need to be pushed back a day... which sucks because AA only pays for your hotel if the delay is mechanical in nature and not due to weather.
I miss Texas. FML.
