We're lucky to have GMs and coaches who have brains and know what will work in the system and what won't. Unlike other teams who just pick tall, white offensive players just because... *cough*Mavs*cough*

A big part of that is the players' fault; not the GMs/coaches.

Guess who's on the overpaid list Brent Barry.

Oh and Derek Anderson is number 2 on the overpaid list at $8,443,500. (I'm so glad we let that guy go for that price.)

What happens to Derek Anderson every year, notice the only year he actually wasn't injured in the regualr season was for us... and we all know what happened to him in the playoffs.

I agree though Parker has been a steel the last 4 years, with all of his playoff experience and talent, it was an amazing bargin.

Do you have any idea how Spurs work internationally to detect players, I mean Spurs organization must be (I am not sure) the most successful franchise in this area; to have drafted Manu was great, but drafting Tony was simply amazing, could you imagine how good TP will be when he was 28, 29 years old.

Probably not as good as he is now?

Don't get me wrong. Experience will do wonders for Tony, just as it does for every player as they make the transition from rookie to veteran.

However, Tony's game has always been predicated upon his speed, ability to penetrate, get to the basket, or cause the defense to implode and kick out to open shooters.

He's not going to have the same legs when he's pushing thirty.

Tony will always have a place with the Spurs because he's a smart, aggressive point guard and he's good at posting up Tim, but I've said it before and I'll say it again: if Tony doesn't do something about his shooting game, his passing game, or both, he's not going to have much of a career past thirty.

That whole list is skewed towards players on rookie contracts.

They also aren't taking into account turnovers, FT%, or FG%, three things IMO are as important as any of the stats they used (I'd argue that all three have more outcome on a game than steals).

I was gonna bring that up...Tony may be a bargain on this one because he's still on his rookie contract.

I think his salary for next year more than quadruples.

Tony will fall into the middle of the pack when his new contract kicks in. As someone pointed out the CBA rookie contracts skew this ranking...

Dallas single handedly has nine players on the 50 most overpaid list and as far as I can see the only one on a rookie contract in Harris. That's not even counting IR fodder Eschemeyer and Abdul-Wahad. And some people think Cuban is smart?

Before i ran smack about an OBVIOUS nba bargain i would have at least checked out the frontcourt players.

LeBron is 13th on the forward/centers bargains.
