Well at least TP is in honorable mention, you know this team could finish with 78-4 and no MVP noises around (obviously unless TD).

28-4 and no ginobili?

Ginobili's stats don't warrant MVP discussion, and that's all that matters to most people.
KG stats ain't impressive either
lmfao @ Craig Sager's got ass also throwing in "record wise" after EVERY mention of the Spurs being the best team. The hate for the Spurs is OUTSTANDING. Manu is the obvious MVP on the Spurs, but his contributions, although usually determine the outcome of the game, don't show on the stat sheet, and that's all that matters to mark ass fans, and national media.
I agree to all of this. And that idiot did keep saying "record-wise".

Probably because they don't want loads of hate mail from Laker fans calling up saying "The Spurs aint won in 4 years WTF you giving them best team BS for!!?"
couldn't care less, if we win the finals they can write all they want. I would love dirk to get it and a first round exit yet again.
Ginobili's play doesn't warrant MVP discussion. All he has been doing is shooting threes. Get to the rim at will and then we can talk about becoming a MVP. Manu ginobili at this point doesn't belong in the MVP discussion.
I am a huge manu fan btw. His inability to get to the rim is becoming a concern of mine and until he can do that he is nowhere near an MVP.
its not just craig sager who keeps on saying "record-wise", tnt commentators, nba tv, espn etc...
who gives a tbh
It's probably because Manu's too inconsistant on the stat sheet. This is probably why Manu will only be a One time All Star and will get no more All Star invites or other individual recognition as long as he's in the NBA no matter if he's been one of the best at making things happen in the cllutch.
ginoboli mvp doesnt make sense, playin for most of the game, while only turning up in the last quarter or the final 1-2 minutes where he scores most of his points from the ft line is not MVP calibre player.
tp usually starts of hot and dissappears in games where he becomes ineffective on the court just like ginoboli....
there is no player on this team thats playin at an mvp level....
lol at the record wise we dont give a damn
Wouldnt be surprised to see the NBA figure a way to Pop outta coaching the West if we still have the west's best record at the half..probably let the fans vote the coach for the first time ever..something ridiculous like trying to label tim as a center a year or so ago when it came to voting, although he was never listed as a center officially. Maybe they could list Tim as a SF in the east so he can go up against Lebron in votes..
Manu > Rose by Hollinger player ratings:http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics
Rose is a horrible choice - Dirk is the MVP
Manu has slowed down a bit in December.
For a certain period of time, his 3s didn't fall in the way they did in November.
He wasn't able to penetrate to create his own shots or for others, either.
He has contributed in so many other ways such as playmaking though.
But somehow, his energy level was not up there, and his stat sheet reveals it.
I guess he's taking time, as other players like Hill and Neal have now stepped up, so that he may save some energy for March and onwards.
Yes, Manu is the best player on the best team. But the MVP recongnition doesn't belong to him.

i noticed that too. he couldn't be more emphatic that the spurs are not the best team.
