If Dirk actually took those kind of shots, he'd have a ring right now.
The Mavericks have no championships, just in case you didn't know.

I say yes. Tim could easily bully his way into the lane and embarrass his opponent but yet he gracefully pulls up and executes a perfectly symmetrical bank shot. Such ease, such class, 4 rings, Drive for 5, Floppers= 4 Rings, etc.
what do you guys think?

The Mavs don't have a 'ship? This is news to me.
I actually think it's the Duncan layup. Duncan could have put many a sad excuse for a basketball player on a poster with rim-rattling dunks, yet he chooses to simply lay the ball in when presented with the opportunity.
Now if you piss him off, all bets are off.
Yeah, that's the problem with teams like the Mavs. They are flashy and just care about dunks and stuff which is why they have no rings.
Tim Duncan just cares about winning championships and the flawless execution of the bank shot exemplifies that.
His 2 points against the Lakers the other day were some of the classiest 2 points I've ever seen
I came in here, hands in pants, grin on my face, ready to say LOL 4 rings but, needless to say, I was bitterly disappointed.
In the league? It's the classiest shot of all time. Of All Time!
Tim Duncan would never punch a guy in the nuts!
or some ugly woman.
oh wait, him and Dirk now have something in common.
Lol, at least they don't have to pay for ass. your boy Oden, while a good guy, is one ugly mother er.
Everytime Tim Duncan banks in a shot from 15 feet away, an angel's hymen regenerates.
Even classier than the Sky Hook tbh.
that would probably suck for angels like Gabriel or Michael
It is a beautiful thing -- elegant is the word that comes to mind.
You can tell if it's going in (or not) from the moment it leaves his hand, because he uses so little arc on it. You can pretty much see exactly where it's going to hit the glass.
His chronologic inability to repeat is the elephant in the room.
Like Kobe's inability to get one in a row
Duncan's a big boy. As such his minions should be able to stand the gaffe of his failure to bring home the bacon in consecutive years.
Kobe has done it three times, only breaking a sweat this last time.
He did more than break a sweat this last time. He the goddamn bed. Luckily, Gasol and Artest were there, rubber gloves and disinfectant in hand, to clean up his mess.
And the first 2 times, Daddy brought home the bacon. Kobe was simply a housewife with a shopping habit.
Though Artest & Gasol couldn't accomplish zip until Kobe showed 'em the way.
& Kobe, in the end, accomplished more without Daddy than vice versa.
Tbh, if the OP's point is that Tim Duncan is classy because he banks shots rather than dunks, then KG is the classiest player ever. For his whole career, he consistently has performed that turn-around jump shot rather than lower his head and barge into the post.
