the warriors have revived d league players careers. if he couldn't do a thing there he has nothing to contribute to nba teams.

If the dude could play solid defense, he'd receive regular playing time anywhere he plays. Normally, if you're a good defender, you can make and stay on a team and be utilized against scorers when the team needs defense. If defense is one of the only things you can do, like Ron Artest and Bruce Bowen, you may even be a regular starter. And if you can defend well on top of throw down like this:

A lot of people have asked for Carney on this board over the years. Funny that nows hes available I haven't seen anyone get excited about the prospect.
