According to Ann Richards and John Kerry. They've both said it...although it was in the context of a Bush-bash.

The Kerry campaign said that when our country is at war the use of humor in the presidential race is inappropriate. Follow your leader.

Well, every liberal's favorite poster child Bill Clinton said it, for one.

Especially when he made the comment that with all of Kerry's flip flops, he could debate himself.

It's been decades since two Presidential candidates have actually participated in a debate anyway.

    I'll watch...

When SNL starts spoofing the debates, I want to be in on the jokes.

of course ill watch, but its pretty sad that all questions have to be screened and both candidates get to know in advance what questions they will be asked...to me, that defeats the whole purpose of a debate, where you are supposed to get the candidates first thoughts and words from a spur of the moment question, not some rehearsed, memorized rhetoric

In defense of both candidates, in these days -- it's hard for anyone to be an "expert" on every matter that could come before a President.

That's a big plus for Dubya.
