The problem is that Pop will not likely play someone without experience with the Spurs s"ystem" so he would at least know the system but I would prefer of the two Marcus Cousin over Archie from Toros.
They have to carry 13 players so who do you think they will get?
I wish Dominique Archie was ready. He would be a good long defensive and offensive forward. He currently plays for the Toros.
And who in their right mind really thinks the Spurs will bust up the chemistry of this team, with a league leading winning record, I might add, to make a trade????????????????????
That is why I can't understand all the "trade" threads on this site.

Maybe Jawad Williams if Ferry liked him in Cleveland and if Pop/RC are still listening to Ferry after Danny Green fell out.
Who ever he gets isn't going to see the court, Anderson will be back soon and he'll be fighting for court time.
Sign Udoka.......oh wait.
Jawad Williams looks promising. If they go the Toros route, I would like to see Lance Thomas get a shot over Cousins. There are barely enough big rotation minutes for Splitter as it is.
"Men", not "Man". It'll be a revolving door of 10 day contracts to tryout for next year's roster.
From Austin Toros D League: Dominique Archie, a So. Carolina 6'7" F who plays both forward positions and was All-SEC Second Team and made the All-Defensive Team.
Guys, he can barely play at the D-League level right now. He might be a candidate next season.
Still recovering from surgery?
Yes, he was barely cleared to play ball before the D-League draft in November.
The Spurs need some old salty vet who's looking for a two year retirement program.
You think Lebron wants to bring his talents to South Texas??? It's all a secret right now I'm not suppose to tell anyone.
This plz.
Tiago Splitter
Rank: #4
Vitals: 6-11 245
Position: PF/C
NBA Comparison: Al Horford with more skills
Status: unrestricted free agent (he has a player option on his contract) - draft rights held by the San Antonio Spurs so another team would have to trade for his rights before signing him.
My Assessment: Splitter is a legit 6-11 big man that is known for his team defense and his efficient offense. He is experienced and consistent and he could be used as a 4 or 5 on either end of the court in the NBA. He is a very steady player and is surely a target of a lot of NBA teams. Potential NBA starting PF or starting C.
NBA Scout Assessment: An NBA scout said this of Splitter, "Not being able to sign Splitter after the draft might have cost the Spurs a championship or two".
What's up with that? Our extra guy is already here, he just sees no playing time.
More skills that Al Horford? Is this the same guy or did we get a body double?
To take down Manu during a lay up.![]()
