I like the coaches being named, but I don't like what will result from the finale; more controversy of who deserves the #1 contender spot for the Heavyweight le.

Dos Santos definitely deserves a shot at Cain before Brock gets a rematch.

Say what they might about Brock's MMA know-how, but he's got some stones stepping in there with such an opponent after such a terrible loss. It'll be an entertaining season, too bad they aren't coaching featherweights tho lol

does Dos Santos even speak english?

Exactly and JDS was not that impressive in his last fight. This is a better matchup for Brock to get it down and do damage

    We'll see..

What exactly is Brock going to teach them?
    What does that mean?

He's a former HW champ with 2 defenses and wins over guys like Randy, Herring, Mir and Carwin

What are you saying he is not qualified?

    Bisping coached that show..

This should be a good show, giving both coaches a great chance to show they deserve a shot at Cain.

What Will Brock Lesnar's Strategy Be?

The first thing that fans need to remember is that while Lesnar may have come to the UFC after a high-profile career as a “sports entertainer,” he also brings a wealth of real wrestling experience, including his national championship at the University of Minnesota, where he won the heavyweight tournament as a senior in 2000. Given that collegiate wrestling has formed the base for many of the UFC’s most successful fighters, from Hall of Famers like Dan Severn, Randy Couture and Matt Hughes all the way through current champions Frankie Edgar and Cain Velazquez, the experience that Lesnar will bring to Season 13 goes far beyond his 5-2 pro MMA record.

The biggest question mark about Lesnar - and the biggest potential weakness for him as a TUF coach – is not his inexperience. It’s his camp.

Lesnar’s DeathClutch camp is built around one man: Brock Lesnar. Marty Morgan is charged with bringing in the coaches and training partners that Lesnar needs to prepare for a given fight. Sometimes it works (Frank Mir, Randy Couture, Shane Carwin) and sometimes it doesn’t (Cain Velazquez). However, preparing one fighter for one fight and adjusting the camp for each new opponent is one thing. A different approach will be needed for a six week camp with seven fighters, all of whom give up nearly 100 pounds to Lesnar.

As an assistant head wrestling coach at the University of Minnesota, Morgan is used to dealing with athletes of all sizes, and was himself an undefeated national champion wrestler at 177 pounds in his senior year of Minnesota. However, the pacing of MMA bouts in the welterweight division tends to be much different than in the heavyweight division, and Season 13 will mark Morgan’s first experience coaching MMA welterweights.

no no, Cain Velasquez is the one with the Brown Pride tattoo, not Lesnar. Easy mistake to make.

I think he's well qualified. His ground game is pretty much perfect and his striking isn't bad at all. His only problem is s ing up when getting hit (Cain), and that won't hinder his coaching at all.

Like db said, Bisping coached! And I think I can comfortably say that Lesnar is a better striker than Bisping is on the ground

So this match might end up in Vancouver !!!!!!!!!!!!!????!!!!!

Plus rumours of Carwin fighting on the same card. I will be going!
Bring a thick wallet! I went to the UFC in Portland and it set me back some serious cash.

Winner of Brock and JDS Dana said. JDS is the clear number 2 so if Brock gets bye him you have to give it to him..

We've seen brock dominated by strikers in his last 2 fights with Carwin and Velasqeuz... and to honest, I think Junior might have even better hands than both of those guys... It'll definately be an interesting scrap...

  23. #23
Junior won't be able to keep the fight standing, and Brock will GnP for the win

exactly. Carwin stuffed the td (in the first round at least) and so did Cain. Can JDS?
