If the Marlins can make it in Florida, a baseball team can make it in SA. That should be the next step, MLB.
Listening to stsa earlier and he was once again blowing and going about how sa would never get any other pro sports teams here, especially the NFL because according to him, 97% of football fans here are cowboy fans. He said that he's perfectly fine with sa just having an NBA team and that there's nothing wrong with that. To me, it seems like the guy is just trying to see sa not advance and get better things. Deep down, he wants Dallas to be better than sa, that's what I gather. Was anyone else listening to him earlier about all this stuff? He also said that we don't have the population here to support an NFL or multiple pro teams. I think he's full of and I hope to god that he's proven wrong one day soon about all this.

we for sure have a better shot at getting an MLB team than an NFL team
If any MLB or NFL player gets harmed in the next decade, I'M COMING FOR YOU
An NFL team in San Antonio would be re ed. All the fans are already spoken for, and there's two teams just down the road. If this was 30 years ago maybe, but it doesn't make sense now.
+1
oh and i stopped listening to 760 since the fat guy left (jim bob...i think). does anyone know what happened to him?
We go to several Missions games every year. They could use more support from SA fans.
eh. If they went away, nobody would barely notice.
I think jb was let go cause he put porn on the page a couple of times.
Show is unbearable now that they added Dawn Murphy...
I think SA should really shoot for an MLB or even MLS team. I think MLS would own down here, given the population.
How many $100Ms are Bexar/SA residents willing to pay in bonds to build a stadium, which will probably then be donated for nothing to an investors group (this is how dubya made his millions on the Rangers, a gift from taxpayers)?
Yeah, that is true, and some want SA to get MLB? Ain't gonna happen. We'll get a Soccer team before anything else. But I love baseball. Best ticket price in town, IMO.
I concur but MLB won't happen here.
yes, some like me want SA to have an MLB team instead of a AA team.
My non-attendance to Missions games has nothing to do with my going to an MLB game.
No . Any city wouldn't give a if their AA/minor league team left. Baseball is the next team SA should aquire, NFL is too much of a risk at the moment.
I don't care for Taylors idea of just being content with the current sports layout. How is it supposed to change if he 'champions' more of the same?
Baseball is boring as to watch on TV sans playoffs/WS. Baseball is fun as if you're at the game. Especially taking a day off work to catch a mid-day ball game and drinking some brews.
who gives a ... football and baseball! i'd rather sa only be home to the spurs.
I just read that Charles Butt is worth more money than Jerry Jones and Mark Cuban. I wish he was a sports fan, because with an ownership group backed by his money (as a majority owner at least)we, could definitely attract a team.
Who wouldn't want to go to HEB Field and watch some NFL football?
But yeah, the MLS is probably the "easiest" for San Antonio get, with the MLB next.
I'd definitely support a local football team, but would always be a Cowboys fan first because I just can't switch allegiances like that. However, I'd definitely raise my kids to be San Antonio fans first and foremost, with the Boys being #2.
