Still & all:::The Spurs blasting your ass///The Ellis family building you a wailing wall///you all goin' into it.
It is a shame that the Lakers technically have 4 home games against a team and don't have to worry about travelling. It sucks. :P:
Lakeshow feasting on more sub .500 teams at home... what else is new?
____________
Wait, isn't this like any other game then...?![]()
Shhh they have their head in the sand.
this won't be easy for the lakers-since they are on the road...
Well technically the Lakers have to travel farther on road games because there alot more teams in the east coast than the west!
trap game Lakers lose or squeak out a close game ...
Weakest strength of schedule in the league at the halfway point

Yep. who cares? doubt we catch spurs dont need to. As long as we get 2nd seed I like our chances. plus Miami, boston, orlando and Chicago have allowed the lakers to catch them....Dallas to pass them.
I posted. You responded.
I meant about the SOS ... schedule evens out for everyone. Friday was another example of the spurs catching a team without a key player ...but that is NOT factored in SOS...which is why all stats are useles without context. Do i put an asterisk but the spurs record? No. because again things will even out.
Example: Mavs beat the heat twice (IIRC) when they had bosh, Lebron and Wade. Bulls and Nuggs beat them without Lebron ...but SOS does not reflect that, they get a boost in SOS though the heat without Lebron is almost like beating last years heat
Did you know that not a single player from the Pistons lone wolf le year will make the HOF.
but I put the blame for the series loss on Shaq and Phil...Shaq for being a fatass...and Phil for co-signing the child molester Malone. If it wasn't for Kobe's ( I think game 2 heroics we would have gotten swept) like Duncan just did...
You're assuming the Lakers' record will match or be better than those teams from here on out. That's a big gamble considering the Lakers have had the WEAKEST schedule up this point. Which, in turn, means they will have the TOUGHEST 2nd half schedule.
Realistically, I see the Lakers taking the 2nd seed in the West, but I can see Boston, Miami, and possibly even Orlando finishing with a better record than the Lakers. Even if the Lakers get by the Spurs w/out homecourt, it's doubtful they will beat Boston or Miami in a Game 7 on the Road this year.
I made no assumptions, you did. I never said we would stay ahead of anyone. First the west seeding is FAR MORE important. We can only play one team from the East so in the bg picture it does not matter and there is a good chance that team will have HCA though i think we can stay ahead of Boston but we shall see ...
I was just saying that the "pace" of the top teams has slowed except for your beloved spurs ...I expect we may lose at Denver if trade is not done and eventhis backtoback vs. Clips and OKC will probably net at least one loss ...
My main point was I like the two seed and i like the fact that no team is running away from us except the Spurs ... the reason being is I would hate to see us going all out chasing HCA ... if we finish behind 2 or 3 teams like we did last year considering how ty we played at times ...i'll take it.
When i said 2nd seed speaking of West only maybe you were confused dunc?
The only RS stat that matters is wins. The Lakers reached the halfway point on a 60-win pace. They're just fine.
NO, I knew you meant #2 in the West. It just seemed like you were thinking 2nd in the West would still net the Lakers a better overall record than all the teams in the East (resulting in HCA in the Finals, if the Lakers make it there).
Boston is still up 2 on the Lakers in the loss column (and KG is coming back soon) while Miami is tied there (playing w/out Lebron). With the Lakers having the toughest 2nd half schedule and the C's and Heat playing more games vs a TOP HEAVY Eastern Conference, I think it's more likely a #2 seed in the West will still trail the C's and Heat in overall record at year's end.
If I'm wrong, and Lakers make the Finals w/HCA vs the East Rep. (Celtics or Heat, IMO), the Lakers can probably pull out the 3peat, but I doubt they can do it w/out HCA in the Finals.
Nope. Only team I expect to get HCA on in the East is Boston and Maybe chicago or Orlando (but I doubt neither of the last two make the finals). I think the celts will go hard if they think they can get HCA over the heat if they fall off (due to injury) i doubt they push for HCA, which is why I said we have a "shot" over having HCA over them. Again i never said we would definitely get it over them. agree, East is Top heavy BUT remember the melo deal and the fact they will be jostling for top seeds. the west is more balanced but really only the spurs and lakers (and Maybe the mavs if they can truly right the ship) ..are legit in the west. Utah, OKC are dangerous but they are not winning a le and doubt they can make the Finals ...
Clippers gonna clip, Griffin goes for 30, Gordon for 20
What are you talking about? The Clippers gave the Lakers all they could handle last time around, and it took a ing Fisher layup at the buzzer to win the game....![]()
