If you're married w/ more than 1 minor child, a recruiter told me they would need a financial summary to ensure my family wouldn't be negatively affected financial. Anyone know what a "Financial Summary" is?

Ex military here but single so I've no clue what you're talking about. Ask the recruiter! It's what he's there for.

It's basically a credit check. They need to make sure that your military pay would be sufficient to handle your family and any debts you may have when you are called to active duty.
I don't really know how they look at it, I just know it includes a credit check.
