LOL @ Nugget Fan obsessed and posting thread after thread about the Lakers simply because.... well... he and his team are irelevant and heading off to obscurity.

    Quite sad actually.

Lakers' frontline (Pau, Bynum, LO, Artest, and LUKE) against the Thuggets:

    34/54 FGAs - 73 points
    34 rebounds
    9 assists
    4 blocks
"They're trees down there," Carmelo Anthony said. "And they bring Lamar, another 7-footer, off the bench, and he does the same thing: attack the offensive glass, putbacks."
"Every one of their big guys had a big game," Nuggets coach George Karl lamented afterward.
    No matter gayjay is mad!

I think historically speaking, its rare for an NBA team with an existing veteran Superstar to convinced a younger Superstar to join them via free agency. Also, if you look at big name Superstars for the past decade, most of these players resigns with the same team, excluding Shaq who was the biggest catch before Lebron signed with Miami.

But if I have to choose one player, then it has to be Dwight Howard. His contract is due for a renegotiation in 2012-2013, which happens to be around the same time andrew Bynum expires. Obviously no one knows the blueprint for the new CBA, but its safe to say the Lakers will pursue one marquee Free Agent since Gasol and Bryant's $50 million contract ends the following season (2013-2014).

Really, if you think about it, unless Orlando wins a championship, Dwight is bound to sign with another team. And he loves the spotlight so there's no better place for him than Los Angeles. But its going to be interesting how the Lakers rebuild in 2013-2014. For one, you know Kobe will be a Laker for life and Gasol will most likely end his career there, so expect to see both re up for a 2-3 year deal for a decent value. But in doing so, they are going to limit themselves in rebuilding the team
