Quinn, if you're reading this... i'm sorry.
i've said it once, and i'll say it again... i'd love for TMac to be a 10-15 minute Spur; he could definitely help in the playoffs.
The San Antonio Spurs in the Trade Machine

It’s silly to think about potential Spurs trade scenarios, but, hey, it sounded like a fun exercise. It always sounds like a fun exercise. This is the problem of being raised on Bill Simmons.
So here we go: needs, assets, trade partners and best case scenarios. Don’t hate me. I know 38-7 record is not indicative of a personnel crisis. The Spurs are good. I get it. But it’s almost February and an NBA blogger has very little choice.

The Donte Green trade is probably the most realistic that makes a bit of sense. Chris Quinn has been a pretty nice player but a 6'11 SF with some upside is well worth the exchange. And with the exceptionally late first rounder this year as well as looming lock-out (and likely weak draft) I'm not too enthused about the draft.
+1
true about randolph....
prince is the player we should target, he could be a good compliment to TP and manu....i would take any 2005 pistons player.....i feared that team big time....except Rip, others were defensive minded players and no doubt i love dice.....should have got dice a couple years earlier.....
Prince, like Troy Murphy, only becomes a viable target for the Spurs if he negotiates a buyout of his current contract.
I absolutely love the prospect of acquiring Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. I've been high on him since prior to the 2008 NBA draft. He was clearly one of the best defenders in the entire draft that year. I was so hoping that he would've fell to the Spurs in the 2nd round. However, the Bucks selected him @ #37 overall.
It took him only 7 games into his rookie season before he earned his way into the starting lineup, by beating out Charlie Villanueva for the starting PF spot. During which time, he demonstrated a surprisingly competent offensive game, in addition to his usual defensive prowess. He certainly wasn't an offensive liability.
At 6'8" 230, he'd be an ideal perimeter defender and would be just the moderate defensive upgrade that the Spurs need.
yeah thats what i meant...sorry...we should target prince if there is a buyout even before considering murphy
If we're talking about giving up Chris Quinn and a draft pick, I wouldn't mind so much. I wouldn't trade Anderson or Splitter, yet. Some of those options look tempting.
Sam Young, just sayin...
I haven't checked this but the article states that the Spurs would have to give up either Splitter or Anderson... not Quinn.
No, the article includes TMac in the targets for Quinn plus a pick.
my favorite here is mbah a moute. ever since he came into the league i thought he would make a good spur. knowing sa though, theyll sign him when hes 33 or something
As things stand, San Antonio’s depth chart features rookies James Anderson and Larry Owens behind Richard Jefferson. Neither player is likely to help San Antonio in the playoffs.![]()
Do we really need to be talking about trades when we're like 38-7 and are having like the best season ever?
stop dreaming
If Quinn + 1st can bring in Mbah, lets do that ! He can be the new Bowen without 3 pt threat. However, Bucks will definitely ask for more than that.
