Seems like this is a reoccuring theme.
I think we have to get used to this. Spurs missed a ton of free throws that would have won the game. As simple as that.
Seems like this is a reoccuring theme.
Duncan went 3-12 at the line, after shooting 33-36 (92%) in the series.
Ballgame.
And an airball!!!!
Are you guys really surprised?
This has been going on for 5+ seasons.
Na, I'm not shocked.
If anything I'm shocked that Pop still can't figure it out after years of failure to correct the problem.
"Duncan went 3-12 at the line, after shooting 33-36 (92%) in the series."
The guy is an clinical head-case about FTs. 33-36 says there' nothing physically wrong (eg ankles, lift, no motor nerves mis-firing, ), following immediatly with 3-12 says he's psycho.
how can a guy so good, so dominant, for so many years totally fiip out and play like a lost, hesitant kitty in an elmination game? He had no fire, no concentration, no confidence, nothing. And when he's like that, it's often contagious in the true "team" spirit. Tony was in perfect sync with Tim's tiness.
Because Tim missed his first FT, he has to blow the whole game? head case.
I can't explain why a professional athlete like Duncan can get "rattled" at the line. I think everyone agrees, his mechanics and release seem pretty smooth.
But to go from one extreme to another (15-15 in game 3 to 3-12 in game 4) tells me that it's all in his head.
Hilarious!!Tony was in perfect sync with Tim's tiness.
