Holy hot s from , I need this. I played Oblivion first, then picked up Morrowind recently. Graphic downgrade was a block.!
So, I recently started playing Oblivion again in anticipation of Skyrim and decided today to re-install Morrowind and see what mods where out there...
for a game that came out in 2003, this looks pretty sweet.....
To do this, you need MGE (Morrowind Graphics Extender) which can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/morrgraphext/
Just extract into the morrowind directory (not the Data folder).
Then, get this Mod.... Morrowind Overhaul: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.co...Detail&id=8987
Thought I'd post just in case anyone else was thinking about going back to play this awesome game.![]()

FYI, the Morrowind Overhaul is not a simple click-through installation... It takes a good 30 minutes to setup.... Be sure to follow all the instructions located here (you might need a google account to access them) :https://docs.google.com/do ent/d/1...I3A54gF&pli=1#
Played oblivion, but I bought Morrowind on saturday..... i am finishgin Thief series right now, but will play it soon
this thread is right on time.
Is Morrowind better? Just curious.
im going to hijack this thread a bit.
Thief SUCKS. Thief 1 is complete horse . I won't even bother saying why it sucks. I installed Thief 2 and the first level seems like more of the same . No thanks.
Hitman is better, Splinter Cell is better.
moving on to Morrowind now
Morrowind was so ing awesome. I can't see how oblivion would be better to me but i'm probably just in denial. I need a new damn computer to run all this stuff.
FYI, after playing around with this a bit, the graphics are MUCH better than vanilla Morrowind but its really only the scenery that can maybe match Oblivion (and thats questionable), the character models are still about the same.....
I'll keep my eyes out for better models and such though as far as mods go.
