Gary Neal had it from the get go, Blair's is starting to fall much more often, and idk about Hill, haven't payed much attention to his.
it's not Parkenesque, but it's quite effective. he turns his left shoulder towards the defenders so it almost always with a foul to boot.

Manu uses a tear drop every now and then too. It's such an effective move but relatively hard to perfect for some. I've noticed I've been using it pretty often in pick up games, works pretty well.

even TP's teardrop has evolved a bit over the years. originally, it was only available to him when he was going directly towards the rim - just float it over the top of the big men. in recent years, he developed it so that he also has one that almost looks like a running hook that gives him options when the rim is on his left.

I love the Blair tear drop..he is slowly, but surely getting it. He is starting to realize what he can and cant do, and it has been less deep post blocks, and more points off tricky runners, and boards/putbacks.
His confidence is growing, and thats bad news for the opposing bigs who have to play him, he is learning to use his lack of size as an advantage, and can possibly force the opposing big to come out from the post, especially if Chip can teach him how to shoot a mid range jumper.
Once a shot taken by only PG's, the Spurs have proven that it's an effective weapon for any player at any position that is undersized.
AJ's '99 Finals shot wasn't a floater, it was a wide open straight forward jumper.
It's great that other Spurs are picking up TP's floater. It is a highly effective shot that, if timed correctly, is damn near impossible to defend.

Are you sure that wasnt a tear drop that he made from two feet inside the three point line?
I know I did a double take the first time I saw Blair do it. He usually looks like a fullback barrelling through the paint and then to see him put that up? "Finesse" is not the first word I think of when I think about #45, but if it works it works.
Looks like a fundamentally sound left-handed jump shot to me.

man, really makes every penetration difficult to guard against.
Thanks for providing the video of the one shot that perpetuates two myths about AJ: That he could actually shot a jumper consistently and that he 'won' the '99 Finals by hitting the last shot in the clinching game... of a Finals they almost swept.
