Bucks @ Nuggets 2/22/09 on ESPN classic today. his defense against Melo was pretty much 'ole'...can't believe Skiles gave him so many minutes.....i imagine coach Skiles' reaction when he heard that San Antonio wanted to take RJ off his hands in exchange for a big man who plays D and cap space()
anyway, watching this game reminds me how absurd some of the expectations were of RJ coming to Spurs last year
and really helps me appreciate the player he's become from then to now. think of how he's hounded Melo this year and even put everything he's got into slowing down Durant.
He's done some great defensive jobs for the spurs this season.
Generally when he is given a job to defend a superstar he knuckles down and gets the job done. Props to him.
pitty he didn't take that mind set on every game with who ever he was defending cos his offense doesn't suffer from it.
