I'm real;ly emotional about this casue I had to do a whole report on that case when I was in school. So I know alot of the details... and oh my god it sickens me.
If anything the ones that are still alive need to pay even more so becauise they had alll this time to enjoy themselves nad thier life on earth while that poor boy's life was ended painfully and slowly when he was only 14.
HOW DARE THEY CONTINUE TO BREATHE AFTER WHAT THEY DID!!!!

How much justice can be served if the guy is already 67? That's just my question but I hope he burns in for what he did to that boy and his family

I had always hoped, ever since I learned about the case several years ago, that the men that got away scott free and have died at least died as afraid as Emmitt Till must have been. If they had any conscience at all, they'd question their fates after that one.

Prosecute to the fullest extent. They showed this kid no mercy so why should it be given to them?

Comfort yourself with the fact that even if they died peacefully in their sleep, there might be a and if there is, they are burning away in it at this very moment.

I do have a Theological question though. I've been told that God forgives all sins. I know that you must believe in him, and asked to be forgiven. But, when it comes to something like this, can it still be forgiven?? Not by people, but by God

You would have to ask Crazy for confirmation but based on a literal interpretation of the Bible all their sins would be forgiven if they "believed in Jesus Christ and accepted him as their savior"...coming from that area chances are 9 out of 10 that they were Southern Baptist and professed deep religious beliefs...

I was taught that all your sins would be forgiven if you truly repented.

If they truly had repented, they would have felt convicted to confess and make some kind of res ution. If they truly were of Christ, they would have repented.

    That didn't happen.

Does the Bible really say anything about truly repenting or making res ution as a condition of forgiveness/salvation? I never saw that if it did. As I read it the only non-negotiable qualification for salvation and everlasting life appeared to be accepting Jesus as your savior.

Depends on who you ask and what agenda they have to push.

Ok , I've always been taught that there is the unforgiveable sin which is to purposefully disobey God's will.. .as in you know it's wrong and know it will make god angry but you do it anyway... and to then show no repentance.
I think that purposefuly working against the will of God is unforgiveable.
