yea!!!
According to the NY Times Dice will play next year:

Reading that article reminded me of his younger days, back when he was dunking on the entire NBA with solid defense.
Also makes me think of how hard it must have been to completely change your entire game plan going from inside the paint dunking on people to developing a jump shot and spreading the floor.
Glad he's back, one of the more appreciated vets in the NBA. Oh and getting a ring with the Spurs wouldn't hurt either.![]()
Seems you missed the original article on Feb. 17th...
Jeff McDonald: "ONE MORE YEAR FOR MCDYESS"
But still great news!
Very nice. No veteran big man drop off next year.
Hope so, he's been quality off the bench
He'll be ready to repeat![]()
So how much does SA pay him as only part of his contract is guaranteed?
Already a thread posted about this but I'm happy nonetheless. He's a great player and human-being.
What's the deal?
Dice was just interviewed by Pistons media guy after the game, asked him what made him change his mind and decide he is going to play next year, and Dice flat out said that it was a misprint, and not what he said. He said this is definitely his last year.
Has this been covered already? The only thing I had heard was threads like this one where it stated he was going to return next year.
Probably Mike Monroe doing what he does
.
As much as it sucks it forces Splitter to be a major part of the rotation and gives us the opportunity to add another big man.
If I see anything in print format regarding this from the Pistons side of things I'll be sure to post and update things for you all.
Uh oh. No Dice for next year? The Splitter integration plan will need to be fast-tracked.
Also, another big man will need to be added to the mix somehow - by hook or crook.
Perhaps this is why we're hearing reports of Ryan Richards sightings around the practice facility. That's not to say that he'll be a viable option for next year, but if Dice truly isnt' coming back, this kid's ramp-up will be crucial.
It sure would've been nice if they could've called up Marcus Cousin for a long look before the Jazz snagged him.
DeAndre Jordan's contract expires after this season...
I don't think the Clippers will let him get away.
You wouldn't think so, but I think he's unrestricted (2nd-round pick) and their owner is an idiot.
Man, that would be NICE if we could somehow end up with him. I know Donald Sterling is not wrapped too tight, but I still would be shocked if the Clippers let DJ walk. I would have thought we had a better chance at getting Derrick Favors from the Jazz than him.
