so
Just waiting for the press
After an exhausting weekend, that capped a fatiguing months-long negation process which drained all involved – the New York Knicks finally got their man, and Carmelo Anthony finally got the team he apparently wanted all along.
The Denver Post is reporting that the deal has been finalized: "The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks tonight, a league source said. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.
"Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman."
As part of the deal, New York will also send Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
wait...it has something to do with all-star voting?
Is Isiah Thomas still calling the shots in New York? Boy did they overpay for Anthony. It will be interesting to see if Denver moves any of their new players.
Conversation happening in the NBA forum.
Thanks.
