"Whenever you get a chance, try to tune in to a Spurs game against someone else and watch how they space the court. It’s incredible. Unless they’re running a pick-and-roll, they basically initiate their offense with each other so far apart that it leaves defenders on an island. And so once a player gets beat off the dribble, a second defender is forced to come help. When that happens, it becomes nearly impossible to recover with so much ground to cover. It’s absolutely beautiful. Unless of course they’re playing your team."

Not true Spurs just shot bad that series. Bottom line is LAL has not solved it this season and with those old legs x 4 on that LAL team plus Bynum with his sore legs no worries!

Incorrect. The Suns solved the Spurs defense, not the offense.

Too bad the Suns won't be in the playoffs so Goran Dragic can channel Michael Jordan again.

Phil Jackson is on record for wanting the court to be widened a few feet, to give players even more room in which to work. I would have to think that Pop would like that too.

This is also why Pop values catch-and-shoot players so much: with that kind of spacing, you need that skill to make defenses pay. The starting lineup may actually be one of the weakest 5-man units in this regard; only 2 of them are 3-point threats, and until Jefferson developed his catch-and-shoot game this year (one of his greatest improvements), he really didn't have that in his arsenal.

Darnell Mayberry is an idiot. This is a surprisingly intelligent comment by him - the first ever I believe.

Sports coverage in OKC is pitiful. The Daily Oklahoman was voted the worst regional newspaper in the country several years in a row.

OKC played some damn fine defense in the second half last night. Any yet we still won because of role players like Neal and Matt coming through in the clutch.

This win was especially impressive when you consider Manu's travails with his shooting lately.
