this could be a really annoying pickup for the rest of the league. dude has great range and is a solid rebounder, gives them a big body.

troy Murphy expected to reach a buyout and quickly make a verbal -agreement to join the Miami heat. According to my sources

i think he may go to the celtics since they have a spot open for him.
boston trading all these big bodies and opening up roster spots probably means troy murphy is all but guaranteed to sign after the buyout
Celts mking room for somebody ...
Murphy from ND playing for the Celts makes too much sense ...
just posting what the reporters are saying
Boston seems to be gambling that he will choose them, but I dunno. I have a feeling Miami has a strong chance too.
that already happened on July 8, 2010.
Everyone should keep getting their shots in now while the Heat are in Season One with a weak roster and learning chemistry.
Soon as the Heat get some time, some MLE's to sign more bodies and complete the roster, the ing willl be complete.
Sup welching got?
The owners are going to push for a hard cap (with no exceptions, perhaps not even a veteran's minimum), so the Heat would have to play with a 9-man roster. Even if the hard cap doesn't go through, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the MLE eliminated. Miami's options would then be reduced to old ring-chasers and not much else.
NBA= ed..
Dalembert with the MLE next year will be nice, too..
The HEAT are hardly rich.
Aside from our awesome LeBron-Wade-Bosh trio, we don't have much.
James Jones, a cheap 3pt shooter, Mike Miller who does the same thing but more expensive..... UD who is an undersized C but a good PF..... that's it.
The rest of the roster is vet mins pretty much except for Joel Anthony. Last season Anthony was a great hustle guy who rebounded and played great defense. Then this off-season he got overpaid to his contract (like 3-4mil per?) and now he's regressed. I hate seeing him on the court now.
The Heat are one of the elite teams, possibly still the best defensive team, and basically running off just LeBron-Wade-Bosh.
The Heat desperately need to fill out the roster.
Anyone have any news on this? Murphy would be a great pickup for either the Celts or Heat.
also, Bibby is most likely going to Miami -IF- he accepts a buyout
1) Eddie House and Mike Bibby are brother in laws. Bibby married House' sister, or the other way around
2) Bibby would instantly become the starter in Miami. Add some lethal outside shooting, wouldn't be asked to do much like in Atlanta
