Mike Bibby. Yeah, he's kind of slower on D now, but what he brings to the offense is exactly what the Heat have been lacking. A floor general to run things correctly. I'm not comfortable with LeBron running the point anyway. I've seen enough dribble for 10 seconds and then drive or clang a jumper. Wade is a MUCH BETTER facilitator for the offense, but he is letting LeBron control the rock so he doesn't hurt his feelings.
Bibby brings veteran experience, 3 pt shooting, great court vision, passing, and finally a PG to run the offense correctly.
If the Lakers meet the Heat in the Finals, you can expect Bibby is going to bring his game for some ing payback for the Kings-Lakers series.
This is a great signing for my Heat.

Not an OMG kind of signing, but considering what the Heat had at PG (besides Chalmers), it's a solid move for the Heat...

Bibby played almost every game for the Hawks, and yet they were an above average defensive team in the NBA.
Bibby is NOT THAT horrible. Yeah, he's not good at defense, but he's not as bad as people make him out to be.
Plus, the Heat have a great defensive system.
Either way, I don't care about that as much. It's the OFFENSE that suddenly got a boost.

Dampier played vs the Knicks, Heat were up by 14. Then Spoelstra benches Dampier for the rest of the game, plays Joel Anthony.
Every Heat fan sees that Damp needs more PT, but it seems Spo is saving Damp for the playoffs. There is no other reason. Damp's numbers are almost always in the +.

Bibby won't be a facilitator for the Heat, they have Wade and LeBron who both need to dominate the ball to be effective.

Chalmers does 2 great plays, then turns it over, s up a layup, and turns it over again.
He's still young and not ready.
Bibby is a big upgrade offensively.
That's true for LeBron, not for Wade.
Wade can move off the ball very well, and the Olympics is a great example. Led the team in scoring and was the Olympics MVP even though he was off the bench and LeBron was dominating the ball.

Decent pick-up. Don't believe it makes a huge difference though. At this point in his career, he's very similar to Eddie House. He's definitely an upgrade over Arroyo though.
