I wonder what will happen to the land price when the government stops subsidizing ethanol, or stop requiring it in gas?

When you get right down to it the price boom makes sense in areas that either get more or less predictable rainfall or are in areas with reasonably shallow ground water. The worlds population is growing geometrically and the productive land is finite. They aren't making any more of it.

Oh, I agree with that. Still, mandated ethanol usage has made a pretty good difference beyond natural needs for food.

"government stops subsidizing ethanol, or stop requiring it in gas?"

Won't happen. BigFarma owns plenty of USDA and plenty of rural/red-state Congresspeople.
