We staaaaaakkked.
You might want to get that checked out.
I'll be honest--despite the winning I have not taken the Spurs seriously. Tonight that changed for me. They come at people like gangbusters and they kept it up for 48 minutes. They play like that every night and they will win the NBA le.
Seriously Spurs look amazing, and you can bet all you want that Duncan will again be a monster in the playoffs. The guy is just saving it all for then.
Everyone on ESPN is so depressed and sad that their team got blown out
Still, very classy 30 point win
it's indeed a great win even if Miami was surely tired after the Orl game yesterday. TP is making a great difference for this team and neal is gold
Spurs execute better than anyone in the league. Pop has to be Coach of the Year this season. No one expected this from the Spurs. Definitely a 50+ win team, but 50 wins already? No doubt, Pop is Coach of the Year.
Gary Neal is an NBA player. I apologize if some of this sounds obvious, I just haven't seen many Spurs games since the first week of the season. Watching that blowout reminded me of how the Pistons used to blowout teams in 2004. Every guy was involved and looked like they could beat the crap out of your team. Seriously, they don't need Duncan until it gets rough in a tough playoff game.
As for the Heat, more of the same. I've been saying it for 4 months that this team needed to mold these players into a system and not build the system around the superfriends. A team concept was needed and each one of these players needed to take up what the team needed in order to win. When they started talking about "figuring it out in the season" I hit the roof. Improv is impressive in theatre, not on a professional basketball team. They are about the flashy play and not the one that wins the most games. Where is the defense? Where is the determination to get the ball? Why is it that Lebron and Wade take all the shots? No MVPs. No superstars--that has to be the mindset for the scheme to work.
They are in for a long summer and that white-hot light that annointed them the next dynasty last fall will turn into hard questions and second-guessing. Their coach will be fired and probably should. If no one can get these guys to play in a system, they will turn into the New York Mets of the NBA. Great, big signings, but ultimately no Championship.
yet another great take, sir.
wow, that was a massacre of the heat by the spurs
incredible!
eight Spurs in double figures, record-setting three point attempts per game at 17
especially considering how their MO has been defense for so long yet he is able to turn them into an offensive juggernaut. If it wasn't for those pesky Lakers it would be an other amazing chapter in the Texas rivarly in the playoffs. I am not so sure the Mavs can keep Kobe in check.
Great win. Unbelievable win.
Can't allow for a letdown against the champs on Sunday, though. A slight one is prolly inevitable, but can't let it last too long.
Spurs took care of business. Nothing to see here. They're one of three teams that can win the West and le this year.
People have slept on them or dismissed them because the injuries of the last two years. Disappointing finishes allowed people to think they were done. But they weren't seeing what the team was still capable of, just the unfortunate result when things didn't fall their way - which tends to happen as a team ages and onlookers begin to expect and anticipate the other shoe dropping instead of contemplating what would happen if it just never dropped.
They're 51-11. There are 7 teams that have a somewhat realistic chance at winning a championship. Only the Mavericks have played a tougher schedule. The Spurs have a higher defensive rating than both the Mavs and Lakers. The Spurs have been No. 1 or 2 in Hollinger's Power Rankings all year.
They're legit. Haters gonna hate. It is what it is...
The scrub to the right kind of ruins the gif.
The right.
Our right.
