    Shaquille O’Neal now out “indefinitely”
    Kurt Helin

...“He (O’Neal) worked out with us the other day,” Rivers said. “Some of the pain returned.”

Rivers spoke with Ed Lacerte, the team’s head trainer.

“Eddie just said don’t expect him anytime soon,” Rivers said.

...The pressure really comes in the second round of the playoffs and beyond. That is when the games get hard and the Celtics will need Shaq to be a presence. Particularly on the defensive end. They need him to control the paint and rebound. They need him to score some.

So rest for him now is best, because they don’t need him this week. But will they have him healthy, will they be able to count on him in May? All these setbacks have to create some doubts.

    Blood pressure.... Rising...

Resting all our hopes on perpetually injured, old centers... Krstic better find a defensive powerup for the playoffs.

I think Shaq is taking a break on 'company time'. He'll be back with about 5 or so games left in the RS and will declare himself 100%.

Shaq's 40 year old lazy ass needs to hang it up already. He wont be able to make it through long playoff series'. Im starting to think that Chicago can now take Boston out if they meet. Perkins toughness in the middle is gonna be missed. Those 2 white dudes they picked up are gonna get exposed in the playoffs if Shaq cant play much.

If Donnie Nelson were the GM of the C's he would probably sign Kevin Willis to a 10 day
