It would be nice to know if JR was going to show up the rest of the season... He certainly was a no show in yesterdays game.. And its been this way for weeks now.. What is up with him????????.

Sure his 3-pt field goal percentage is up, but that is it.. Doesn't help your team any if you don't shoot, or take the ball to the basket.. Then again when you do you get stripped..

He is playin very soft right now.. When no one could hit a shoot yesterday it would have been nice to see he take it to the basket... is that too much to ask..

Even when Bruce Bowen played he wasnt an offensive threat, but you knew when he was on the floor.. Jefferson some how is able to disappear.. And Novak has to come in..

I love when he drives hard to the rim. He's a strong, athletic guy. I also understand that when you face bigs like the Lakers clogging the lane it makes it difficult, but I hope that something can be done insofar as tweaking the offense to get him more opportunities....or maybe he's getting them and just hesitating. He definitely has not looked too good lately. Hopefully he snaps out of this funk on Wednesday.

Hill, Manu, RJ have looked like post allstar. I am shocked we are still owners of the #1 seed

I would say 1 loss really states nothing.. But JR has been playin like this since before the All-star break.. I mean he started the season off rock solid, and little by little is turning back into the JR of last season except for his 3-pt field goal percentage.. But when you dont shoot the ball or create shoots for yourself, your not helping anyone.. And if the big 3 are struggling he was suppose to be the next person to bring it.. He hasn't and hasn't for sometime now.

No one wants to see Jefferson to shine more than me in the silver and black, but he just doesn't seem like he is really there..

He has to show more passion, and fight, I mean get angry drive hard take the ball from Tony Parker or TD, demand the ball...

Yep...sometimes I think he's trying too hard to fit the "Bowen" role.
He just seems too passive. He needs to be more aggressive and for at least a few offensive possessions a game, play like he's the number one option.

Every once in a while, when we look at the box score, we should see him leading the team in scoring or at least in the top two.

can't remember the last time hes driven to the rim with the purpose of scoring. Everytime he's been chased off the 3pt, he's driven looking to pass out instead of going strong to the rack.

This. But you can go back further than the AS break. Manu and RJ's play has declined almost every month since November. Hill's been unspectacular but hasn't had as precipitous a drop in production. Still, we're #1 and it looks like we'll stay that way.

obviously you haven't been watching games because he's driven to the whole aggressively the past 2 games (MIAMI/LAKERS)

Pop needs to run some set plays for him like he did earlier in the year. We need his confidence at an all-time high going into these playoffs.

I do wish Jefferson was more of a man. Sucks he is no where to be found. We will see if he shows up in the big games coming up.

The dude has no plays for him. His role IS to sit in the corner for the kick. When Pop starts drawing up plays for him, I think we'll start seeing him drive more to the basket, but I doubt Pop is going to change anything. For him to get the ball on the parameter and drive from the sideline, etc. is completely against the Spurs' offense. At least this season...

I think its Pop and his coaching. Jefferson doesn't show any confidence in his game, imo. He's thinking instead of just playing the game. He looks like hes about to cry sometimes when he makes a mistake or misses a shot. Pop is too much of a demanding coach for Rj.

Not that I'm against playing team ball, but I think as a scorer you have to be selfish somtimes, especially if you're rolling. Some of the Spurs over pass at times, with Jefferson at the top of the list. I'm sure a big part of it is Pop, but I also think it's Jefferson defering to the big three.

So, because Dallas choked and has always choked...this gives spurs fans a reason to start throwing spurs players under the bus because they arent 63-0?

Richard Jefferson is what he is... The NBA's most expensive three point shooting specialist the league has ever seen. He no longer has the ability to create shots for himself and his defense is pathetic. But I don't blame any loss on the eighth or ninth best player on the team..... that would be downright silly.
