Doubt it. Timmy has recently said this is the best he feels physically in the last 3 seasons. As long as no major injuries come into play then I would be surprised if he didn't play at least another 2 years tbh.

lol @ Shaq still trying to play if it were to happen
Isnt he out for the year?![]()
Shaq, Kidd, KG, and Duncan should all ride off into the sunset together...they'd all be going out with dignity at least

Too late for Shaq to ride anywhere with dignity. He should've quit years ago.
Tim probably thinks the regular season is too long as it is. I think he'd welcome the chance to chase another ring following a lockout-shortened regular season.
Shaq and dignityhe lost his dignity when he played a rapping ing genie.
I could understand if KG retires especially after that Perkins trade which was a slap in the face to the Celtics. By hitting two of their best strengths, their chemistry and defense, the FO basically told them that their days are just about over. Also Doc Rivers is probably going to quit coaching for the next season and watch his son play ball. Not to mention KG's wealth, health, and he's already won a ring.
Kidd's more of a negative nowadays since he really can't put the ball in the hoop or keep up defensively. Especially in this era of the NBA where speedy combo guards are common and deadly weapons. But he'll be able to run an offense and see the court among the best of them even way beyond retirement. Kinda sucks that he hasn't earned a ring but he had his opportunities.
Duncan's fortunate enough to be a on team that seems to be taking great care of him. Out of these legends Duncan averages the fewest minutes per game and has been the bedrock of a franchise. Hopefully he sticks around and eventually fulfills a David Robinson role for the new guys like Tiago Splitter.
Don't yall think Tim should follow David Robinson's exit strategy circa 2003?
If the Spurs win the le this year, that would be a perfect time to hang it up, ESPECIALLY with a lockout season on the horizon.
No matter what Tim is riding out in Dignity, he got 4 les in SA (I hope for one more) and never ran to a team to get another ring! He stayed at his home and still plays at a good level. Shaq on the other hand? NO.
Kazaam is cinematic brilliance, brah![]()
kazaam was the goods. Steel was in horrible, tbh.
tbh though, Richard Roundtree (the old-school Shaft) had a classic line in Steel:
"Damn...Well I'll be dipped in and rolled in breadcrumbs."
Manu is signed for two more years after this, and I think they'll retire together. I also think Pop will retire at that point.
"Anything is pooosssssiibblllllllllllllllllleee!" is retiring at 35?
i think tim still wants to collect those 18 million buck checks
Duncan played at least 4 less NBA seasons from all Kidd, KG and Shaq. That's why they can retire but Duncan can play.
For selfish reasons, I hope Tim does play another 2 years. Not only for whatever production he can provide, but to help usher in another successor - who, of course, isn't yet on the roster.
I don't think Tim is the sentimental type. He's going to leave waaaaaaay before he needs to leave. His farewell tour has definitely started. Hopefully he stays another 2 years. IMHO
Its a threat to the NBA to get their collective asses together and get a deal done. Garnett and Kidd aren't retiring because of a lockout.
Yeah and end it like it started...Good Closure.
Besides since Duncan.. has only been with one team... has a high basketball IQ, he will still retire with dignity even if he is not that productive...
If your a player in your mid thirties to late thirties it is going to be very hard to comeback after 1 year of not playing. Take that into consideration.
