What a mess...

I always assumed that a Secular/Military Dictatorship would be the logical outcome.
Libya, if they get Ka Daffy out, will be worse. It's not even a country except in name.
Well, "secular" is a hard sell in the middle east. If the military is indeed setting up something resembling a democracy, the Brotherhood can't just be ignored or repressed again. Seems a little paradoxical I know.
ing with the Middle East has been a wet dream of this country for years, and now we're seeing the brilliant outcomes.
It took us 2 decades to get our together in a far less complicated world. Its going to take time for them to set everything up correctly. Its a process that does not happen overnight.
The Iran '79 bow should be in place soon. Never was optimistic about the Egypt situation. Especially after our former intelligence director, or whatever his le was, said the Muslim Brotherhood is a secular organization. Someone should really show him the definition of Muslim.
Yep, Egypt will become a worse country for peace than it was.
Isn't that what I have been saying?
On a selfish note.... I'm going on a cruise in November that is supposed to stop at Alexenderia (visit Cairo & Pyramids), Sharm El Sheikh (beach resort) and Sa a (go to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings). I'm guessing the itinerary is going to be changed by the cruise line. Pretty bummed out. I keep hoping things in Egypt will settle the down, but it's looking more and more doubtful each day.
Cancel dude. Get your money back. That place will be a hole for the rest of our lifetimes.
You have been saying that, and I'm really impressed with how pragmatic you are with all of these issues while still managing to stay true to the ideals of this country's founders. We could really use your expertise in the State Department, it would help bring some clarity and moral insight to these situations.
