Blazers are fighting to hold on to 6th vs Dallas rather 7th vs Lakers.
I don't think the Spurs have any (effective) fight left in them.
4 in-a-row here wouldn't have the goodness of The Skunker, but, still & all I would be absolutely tickled pink with it.
C'mon, t, make Pappy proud.
You had to put a pic of Dejuan shooting a jumper????
We better see that falling or else...................
With Duncan and possibly Ginobili out have a nice look at the future Spurs tonight. The doomsaying trolls are kicking up their heels. Wait, didn't the Spurs already have games at Portland, Denver and Memphis before this past weeks return trips? The teams' record for those previous three road games, when the Spurs were at full strength was 1 - 2. Yeah, that's right. If you can put down the bong long enough to remember, the one win was in Denver when Carmello Anthony ran over Manu under the Nuggets basket in the last seconds and was called for a charge. Look for Parker, Neal, Hill and Splitter to get the Spurs back in the W column against the Blazers.

Home court usually helps the bench players while the stars are stars because they can bring it at home or on the road. Without Timmy and Manu I want to see a)George Hill continue where he left against the Grizzlies and b) another solid defensive effort by Splitter against Aldridge. Play Tiago in the fourth, Pop - because its not fair to waste great games by Neal or Hill with such bad defensive plays by the Red Rocket or Blair !!!
Perhaps Lady Luck gets back on our side and Batum + Roy have to skip this game because of injuries as well ...
At least Manu won't be sucking ass tonight.
For the love of Jeebus, just find a way to win.
we gettin raped tonight.
No Manu, No Duncan. More Bonner.
Win by ANY means necessary.
Hopefully Batum and Roy are out as well because I doubt Ginobili plays.
Wallace scored 40 last night against Durant, he'll go for 60 tonight against Bonner![]()
Three things I'm looking for tonight:
1. Hill continues his impressive play from yesterday (which was kept pretty quite due to the loss). In all honesty, he single handedly kept us in the game yesterday and should have got more touches at the end.
2. Pop gets over his stubbornness and plays Tiago when we need him.
3. We play small ball to match up against Wallace. This is the only team I think small ball would work against.
You can count on two of those. Guess which ones...
Small ball could work against the Blazers if Pop played Dice/Tiago as the lone big and not Dejuan Blair...
I wouldn't even be mad if we loss tonights game.
It would be nice tho.![]()
Give Tiago a lot of minutes tonight, even though that's asking too much.
Blazers arent very good on the road so hopefully the Spurs take advantage of that.
Thank God we don't play again until Thursday.
Totally. They are tired of this . And pissed about the Blazers game.
Adjustments for Tonight's Game:
-No TP on Andre Miller. Miller has routinely abused Tony over the years. I'd like to see Hill/Neal (i'd like to see Neal start) on Miller all night depending on who gets the start with TP on Matthews/Fernandez.
-Same plan against Aldridge. Spurs did a good job last game of sending the double on Aldridge's dribble and kept him shooting turnaround jumpers and long perimeter shots. Gonna have to contain him once again to have a chance.
-Limit Turnovers/Force Turnovers: Blazers are pretty good defensively when they’re set so Hill and TP have to push the tempo off rebounds and turnovers. Conversely, if we turn the ball over as much as we did in Portland then we absolutely have no shot. RJ/Bonner are both going to have to be big tonight as well.
I expect a similar game to Friday where the Spurs get out in front early and have to try and hold on against a pretty resilient Blazer team. Hopefully we get some calls to go our way like POR did and finally pull out a close one.
Spurs 99 Blazers 94
Spurs 126
Blazers 88
Book it.
Yep, but Manu is out this time bro![]()
