i think that same thing about Bush everyday! go figureIs he capable of telling the truth?
...of telling the truth about where he's been?)
Bill O'Reilly Interview with Senator Kerry in 2001:
O'REILLY: Yes, that was a classic mistake. But if you arm the Kurds in the north of Iraq, you're going to alienate one of our most valuable --
KERRY: I didn't say necessarily the Kurds. There are other members of the opposition. There are people who are outside the country prepared to go in. There are others inside the country. And I believe -- I mean, I was in Safwan. I went there when the signing of the armistice took place at the end of the war.
And I remember seeing that land, which lent itself in my judgment, considerably to the creation of almost an enclave, which I thought we should have done then. And I think is one way to begin to approach things now, but there are other possibilities. The important thing is that Saddam Hussein and the world knows that we think Saddam Hussein is essentially out of sync with the times. He is and has acted like a terrorist. And he is engaged in activities that are unacceptable.March 2, 2001 10PM Boston is March 3, 2001 6AM Baghdad (not Safwan, but ''close enough") time. The Boston Globe, March 4, 1991:
Boston Globe Newspaper March 4, 1991
Saturday (March 2, 1991) it was off to "Brazil Night" at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel ballroom for a sold-out party to benefit the Cambridge-based human rights group, Cultural Survival Inc., in conjunction with the Rainforest Alliance. Simple little black dresses were de rigueur at this party. But the most chic women took the reliable style and gave it a dramatic fashion twist. They wore understated black dresses that bared the shoulder, dipped into daring v's or somehow focused on the natural and impressive art of decolletage. They made headlines with their necklines.
Meanwhile, Sen. John F. Kerry, an honorary committee member, breezed in and out of the black-tie gala in minutes. The subject of fashion/style seemed an enigma to him. Kerry, wearing a business suit, stayed only long enough to accept a gift: a tin of candy called Rainforest Crunch.
The Iraqi delegation arrived at Safwan at 11:30 AM and the meeting lasted two hours.
Baghdad is about 6000 miles ESE of Boston as the crow flies — the air route is no doubt longer. If Kerry left the soiree at 10PM Boston time, he would have had to make the trip to Safwan in about seven (7) hours to make the signing. The "crows" would have to average better than 850 mph.
Is he capable of telling the truth? What's next? Thanksgiving in Tehran?
i think that same thing about Bush everyday! go figureIs he capable of telling the truth?
Yeah, but you base your thinking on hate or blind partisanship because, you haven't ever given an example of the President lying. I, on the other hand, just posted support for my assertion in bold red letters.
there have been numerous instances where Bush has lied and they have all been pointed out in this forum before...i know you just dismiss everything bad about Bush because you yourself are partisan and blind with hatred for the other side, so its not really worth discussing with you, its just beating a dead horse
Not with any credibility.there have been numerous instances where Bush has lied and they have all been pointed out in this forum before...
You don't say.its just beating a dead horse
right. anything that relects badly on Bush has no credibility, anything that reflects badly on kerry must be true, even if there isnt any proof...i got it already landsharkNot with any credibility.
I agree, there have been numerous instances where it has been claimed President Bush lied. Not once, however, have the posters put up a verbatim quote (as I have) and then produced information that conclusively proves that there was no way the quote accurate and that the President knew when he spoke, it was not factual, (as I have - twice)."there have been numerous instances where Bush has lied and they have all been pointed out in this forum before..."
And you don't?...Yeah, but you base your thinking on hate or blind partisanship![]()
I just gave you a Kerry quote and showed where he lied. That's not partisanship.
I keep hearing "Bush lied! He lied, I tell ya!"
What'd he lie about?
I don't know, can't get 'em to say.
bush's lies have been posted and discussed over and over and you know it yoni...you just discredit everything that makes him look bad, thats why its pointless to even have a debate about it...to proclaim none of us have ever addressed the issue is lunacy
bush never lied, he was just too stupid to know what he was talking about
Because none of it holds up under scrutiny. Not one "alleged" lie that has been posted here has held up under the microscope of historical context."...you just discredit everything that makes him look bad..."
Go ahead, try...again.
But, again, we really are talking about Kerry's lie here. One for which a verbatim quote is provided and for which contradictory evidence is also provided.
