A+ thread would read again.
Okay, so Tiago Splitter was playing pretty well in the games Duncan was out, and even with Duncan's absence, Pop still felt it necessary to play him no more than 20 minutes a game on average. That considered, he still put up around 8 and 8 on a good shooting percentage, and for a team in desperate need of a second big, 8 and 8 might as well be 20-10.
Tiago's "break out" had many Spursfans, including myself, excited at the prospect of a Duncan/Splitter frontline, with Dyess and Blair coming off the bench. Not a bad set of bigs of all. So when Duncan finally returned, what does that pock marked asshole do? Sits Splitter and continues to play his man crush Matt Bonner heavy minutes. He goes 0-5 against Houston. Doesn't matter, he'll play 25-30 minutes the next game guaranteed, while Tiago continues to collect dust on the bench.
He's 0-5 thus far in today's game. Will Pop adjust and give Tiago some burn in the second half? Nope. Pop will massage Bonner's penis during halftime and tell him everything's gonna be alright, just keep playing hard and shooting that 3 ball.
Seriously, you'd think a 4 time NBA championship coach would have some knowledge of NBA history. No team in the modern era has won an le with a stretch 4 playing significant minutes. You need at least two bigs who can rebound and defend the paint to have a shot at the O'Brien, two things Bonner can't do if you held a 44 magnum to that stupid red head of his and threatened him with death.
Wake the up, Popovich. Bonner in' sucks.
The return of The Midget.
How tall are you tbh? Your woman looks taller than you in the 80's picture that constantly floats around the forum.
Too many homers. And the last time I posted a Bonner sucks thread, it got insta-locked.
Are you not aware that Bonner/Blair is the best front court combination in the league?
Mugen has dubbed them the "Turd Towers" in the game thread.

70's picture.
Bravo, Pop on giving Bonner 12 more minutes in the 2nd half. He rewarded your faith in him with a stellar 2 points on 1-3 shooting. No doubt that one made shot will earn him 40 minutes in the next game.
As for Tiago? "Has not entered game."
Joe Johnson is a 6'7" pile of dog .
Blair is just as bad as Bonner, IMO.
He just needs to avoid the Bonner/Blair lineup but we have a better chance of seeing RJ not miss a dunk.
Bonner ain't entirely the problem. The Blair/Bonner lineup is a ing joke. A Splitter/Bonner frontline would be a vast improvement over Blair/Bonner. Blair looks like a re when he has the ball and has no way to score inside. Pop should recognize the simple: Splitter IQ >>>> Blair IQ
The problem isn't Blair or Bonner, it's Pop, just like the OP states. Pop knows what tools he has at his disposal (tools indeed), and he chooses those two over and over.
Tonight he had plays run for Bonner in the paint, and Bonner leaves a turd on the floor each time.
So Blair actually sucks? I thought he was the best draft steal since Manu Ginobili.
When paired with Bonner, Blair can't do very much because of his height. If Bonner plays alongside Duncan or McDyess there is a different tune being sung.
I actually like him as an energy guy off the bench. He's one of those tough nose forwards every team needs in the post-season to grab rebounds, deliver hard fouls, and irritate the opposing team with his activity.
Good player, but not a starter at this point in his career.
You can hide Blair in the regular season, the playoffs are another beast and he's too short.
That's why Blair has no business playing alongside soft ass whitey. Blair can be good when he's not matched up against the other team's 7 footer.
blair is only good with Tim, with Dice the frontline is still too short, with Bonner they're god awful.
Second coming of Barkley IIRC
Malik Rose 2.0 is more like it.
Blair has the talent to be good, he just plays really stupid at times.
And misses dunks......
Oh and lol avoiding my question.
