Dwight takes more than 10 seconds to shoot a FT, so the ref waves it off.

Then he es, even though the call was legit

Technical foul, 18th of the season

Will miss Sunday's game vs Bulls

Will that game be on ABC?
    If yes, then LOL ABC/Espn

That sucks. I'd rather Howard play in the game. It would have been a nice playoff preview and I'd rather the Bulls face as many good teams as possible to get ready for the postseason. Howard is a freakin idiot though. Last time he got a tech for a suspension he was playing the Bulls

He was already called for that once this year. The time I saw it, it was bizarre because it never gets called, but he took like 15 seconds and the ref just finally got tired of waiting.

Funny they start enforcing this rule now... I remember in the 90s the fans used to count down when Karl Malone was at the free throw line.

tbh, dwight gets no breaks. i'm pretty sure there's been 2 ten second violations this year, and both of them have been on dwight. don't ing tell me dwight's the only guy taking longer than 10 seconds for charity throws in the NBA.

I've seen Dwight take it to the extreme. Karl Malone used to stretch it to about 12 seconds. Dwight can go for 15+ at times. Sometimes it takes him 10 seconds just to hold the ball and exhale

Dude, Dwight, you're not suddenly gonna get better at free throws. Just shoot them.

It seemed like Malone would bend his knees for 30 seconds. He was ridiculous

The one I saw earlier in the year, he took it to about 15 seconds and then just completely paused with the ball at his waist for like another 2-3 seconds. The ref just got fed up and called it tbh

That clip is the I'm talking about right there He took 10 seconds just to in hold the ball, exhale and take his first dribble. Then he dribbles the ball like he has an eternity. He was at 15 seconds and wasn't even going up into his shooting motion yet. How can a ref not call that? It's ridiculous. Karl Malone wasn't that deliberately slow.

Tim Duncan fans do not get to complain about how long anyone takes to shoot free throws- although he has been better about it lately. I can not remember where I was that the fans started to count his out loud, as well.

That's one of the first things I thought of when I came into this thread. He's been at better than 10 seconds many times and has never been called for it. Even announcers at games have mentioned it before. But as you said, he's gotten better.

That was a really expensive 10 seconds for Dwight. Going to end up costing in $2,000 just for the tech, and then about $193K for the game he's going to miss because of it. Ouch.
