F.T.S.F.M.B. (Free Tiago Splitter Matt Bonner).
Activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Throwing your hands up in the air when you see Matt Bonner checking in at the scorer's table.
- Shaking your head at Greggory's re ed rotations that include Matt Bonner.
- Realizing this team will go nowhere because of Matt Bonner.
- Empathizing with Tiago Splitter's ty situation.
- Being disgusted at Greggory's and Matthew's intense sexual relationship.
- Wishing you could steal Doc Brown's Delorean and drop Matt Bonner off at the University of Texas, circa 1966, where Charles Whitman was a student.
Yeah, 'cause we just don't have enough of these threads.![]()
Yeah, 'cause Bonner doesn't have enough suck.
That's fresh. 2006 called. It wants it's "take" back.
keep the bonner hate coming....im in
i also want splitter to get more minutes, but i don't know why it should translate into bonner hate.
Because he sucks
And he is a momentum killer
Oh and he sucks. Can't clarify that enough.![]()
I will join this crew. I think I get cancer every time Bonner checks in.
Nah, it's too late. It's pretty clear that Pop's going to go with this lineup and hope Matty hits some shots in the postseason and doesn't get abused. I think I'm just gonna root for those shots to go in and for the abuse to be minor. I had some hopes that Splitter's good play was enough to get him into the rotation, but it's not going to happen.
ditto. i'm with the F.T.S., but not feeling the F.M.B.
i like the Spurs. doesn't make sense to me to hate the players on the Spurs. they be me homies, homey.
Excuse the foul language but: Popovich is one stubborn, arrogant SOB. Remembering Splitter's good play while TD was out just makes me even more mad when I see Bonner as the 1st player off the bench and Splitter the last.
Man, some of you guys are really ing late to this dance.
I dont understand the problem! when Bonner makes four 3pt shots in a game hes a hero. Pop wants him out there to spread the floor... Its simple! you guys are stupid
tiago on court: -.51
tiago off court: +7.76
About 98 percent of Spurstalk is in.. I guarantee you that... There are a still a few Boner lovers out there who actually think he'll do anything in the playoffs.
It's just not gonna happen guys, Splitter won't be in the playoff rotation when the time comes, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
But i look forward to the future seasons ahead of us.
All season ive wondered what would it take for Tiago to crack the starting lineup or even the rotations.. in terms of his performance. Its so rare that he doesnt perform exceptionally well when he gets extended minutes.
So what would it take do you think? 5 consecutive 15-10 games? A couple of 20 rebound games... maybe not making the correct defensive rotations or not playing defense like a Blair or Bonner? Shooting at least two 3 point FGA's a game?
Pop does not trust rookies in the playoffs, that's just a fact and it applied to almost everyone before.
Easy now, eeeeeeeasyOK, I'm in
I would prefer Pop be a coach and start rotating his bigs based off of matchups and stop trying to make Blair and Bonner a one size fits all solution.
Just chill and wait for next season. It's not like Spurs would become dominating again with Splitter. Pop had this offense scheme planned and Splitter is not part of it. I don't think he's about to drop all his plans in midst of a regular season like that.
