Apr 11, 2011 -
e TV officials announced today that beginning Wednesday, April 13th, UFC Primetime®, a weekly series featuring the lives of UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and challenger Jake Shields, would beginning airing. 'Primetime' is a three-part series that cover the lives of both St. Pierre and Shields before their main event le fight at UFC 129 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This marks Georges St. Pierre's third time doing the 'Primetime' series. He was part of the first ever 'Primetime' event for his fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 94. He was also featured in the run up to UFC 111 where he faced Dan Hardy.
Shields enters this bout with considerable credentials, but as a massive betting underdog. Despite wins against Dan Henderson, Yushin Okami, Carlos Condit and Jason Miller, Shields is regarded as a specialist who lacks the well-rounded skills required to defeat St. Pierre. Shields' was victorious in his UFC debut, but struggled with challenger Martin Kampmann over the course of three rounds. As the e TV press release notes, however, Shields is on a 15-fight win streak and has not lost since 2004.
e TV will travel to the Bay Area of California to cover the preparation of Shields while Montreal, Quebec, Canada will once again be St. Pierre's home base as he preps for the biggest event in UFC history.
Wednesday's premiere will debut at midnight ET.
watched it. Shields is just another guy for the win column just like Okami for Silva
Probably.. This show was not as good as the one for Penn but not bad
It's up on MMA core..

Okami's threat to Silva is more like Koscheck's "threat" to GSP...Sheilds IS a grappling stud and he can take punches. He's more like Sonnen vs Silva at this point, he can make it ugly for GSP.
Props to Sheilds for going into the lion's den, a huge sold out venue wanting you to be beaten down is not easy to deal with. I could see him winning a round against GSP, but getting grinded out in the championship rounds.
Thanks DB for the link!
You all guys that are GSP's ohhs and ahhers needs to think about this matchup more realistic.
Shields isone of the most dominant guys in mma. He lately was fighting at middleweight.
His Kampmann performance you can throw off the window.
When he get on top of you it's almost death. And you need to think about GSP who has not been on his back much and was not working a lot of his back to win the fight.
You think that Shields not gonna take GSP down or can't get a top position on George?
Damn Hardy was able to do this!
So all of those who saying Shields is a D-leaguer should point the finger to their forehead and knock
btw. This primetime part was not as good as I expected but it might get better.
Hopefully.
Want to make a sig bet on this? Shields is going to get his ass hole handed to him on a silver platter. I don't even think he's D-League, tbh.
It's cool, przem, I don't blame you.
UFC NEWS "PHOTO'S: Shields Trains With Sonnen For GSP" on BJPENN.COM: http://ning.it/ef3A8r
what if sonnen made a permanent move to the nick diaz crew.. lol that might be the biggest punk ass group mma has seen
Good for both guys.
Sonnen will learn to escape from subs more and shields will be tested from his wrestling game
Shields weight cut was terrible for the Kampman fight as Jake was fighting at MW for a while. But he may again have a bad weight cut. This is a le fight so that means no 1 pd weight allowance.

0:30 to 1:12 for the bum trout
I don't believe it's gonna be tough for Jake.
It's too of a big fight for him.
B4 Kampmann he has fought at MW 3 fights basically.
So now he knows better and he looks better as well
Busted. GSP called me an idiot. Whatever shall I do, wherever shall I go?!
As far as you can go , go
